Yeah I've got my truck for situations like this too. I was just sick of getting stuck in people's driveways with my car running my stupid starspecs year round! lol

I forget exactly how long you've had the Saab for now. Is this your first winter with her? How did she do?

Haha. I definitely feel ya man. Just the smallest chance of even a flurry scared the crap out of me to think about driving in my starspecs. Now with these bad boys the car actually does pretty god damn well.

You can't really tell from the pic, but salt had gotten under the top coat on 3 of the 4 winter rims I bought off a local guy so the finish got pretty knarled up. I just did what any right minded straight person would do..... cleaned 'em up and plastidipped them! lol

I have had the Saab for 7 months so yup my first winter with it. An it did amazing. The xwd system is really good. Once I get the shitty factory tires off it and some snows on it this week I can only imagine how much better it will do.

Oh god yeah. If the car did well with those shitty all seasons on there, then I'm sure she'll be an absolute animal with snows on there.

Yeah my tires now have next to nothing for tread left Going around turns the car felt like it was sliding on me but that could have been in my head who knows. But when it came to going up a hill or starting from a dead stop it took right off. There is a abandon mall near my house I might go have some fun in there today if they didnt plow it and ill make a video.

Haha! 4wd doughnuts ftw! Or in your case, Awd doughnuts I guess.. lol

That sounds like me when I was out in the truck last night. Me and my buddies go out when it snows just to have fun in our trucks doing doughnuts and stupid ****. God I'm a ****** redneck.

Rims look nice 09CobaltSS1. I like the blacked out look. I have black rims on both my other black vehicles. I think at some point I'll get black rims on my cobalt.

I introduced myself in the new member forum (https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/new-...ber-ct-305101/) I hope to learn some things from everyone here about the cobalt and maybe meet up some time.

A shop in Manchester is putting on my snows. I don't trust chain auto shops with my cars.

Hey man, changed your name? Yeah that dude Tooley fits his name sake, he really is a tool. Lol.. 07Metallic could tell you a thing or 2 about that guy.

Thanks abut the wheels. I'm not completely crazy about the style of wheel, but they will do just fine as winter wheels. I've just about got plastidipping wheels basically down to a science now though. I can get those suckers smooth as glass and look basically like the were powdered (aside for some of the dings in the wheels themselves of course).

There's actually no top coat on it what so ever believe it or not. It's all about how you layer it and spray it on.

How would the plastidip hold up? I'll be driving the cobalt every day. What's your method to get it to look so good?

I only have a dirty picture of the cobalt since the weather sucks lately. It needs a wash asap.

Here's my other two rides. Like I said I like black wheels.
I had to drive my TBSS around in the snow because I didn't have the cobalt yet.

Haha. I've always wanted a Syclone so it was nice to find one. I have my dream car list (ferrari, porsche, supercars etc) and then my realistic dream car list. The Syclone was #1 on the realistic list since it is so rare. I like the TBSS for a family/tow vehicle. I wouldn't mind a first gen Jeep SRT8, but I don't think I'd want to tow with it.

Not sure if you saw my question about the plastidip. How would it hold up driving over the winter? What is your method to get it to look so good?

Good to know.
So how many first dates have the two of you been on?
