High, I live on LOng Island, and cant drive yet but I was just wondering where there were some drags strips near the Long Island area, and what some of the safty requirments are.

englishtown, NJ.....atco, NJ....there are no more tracks on long island. it takes bout 1 hr to get to englishtown. as far as safety, if ur car is slower than 12.0 in the 1/4, u just need a helmet and a long sleeve shirt. i believe u can race if ur 17 WITH ur parents consent (but they'd have to be there)

I'm glad we have it easier than that here. If you are slower than 12 in the 1/4, no helment and no long sleeves either; if you have a DL you can race.

 

im so pissed off because the track that was 3 minutes from my house(westhampton 1/4 mile drag strip track) closed down last year
god damn affordable housing buildings got put up in its place

 

Yeah westhampton, was a pothole ridden shitbag of a track, but atleast it was close by... it will be missed.
