WELL, just got back from dealer today after I got my SS/TC serviced
Friday night at the track i got a quick CEL then it went off after i restarted my car. Then Sunday night i dropped it from 4th, going like 40mph into 2nd and took it to 5 grand. Stopped soon after and smelt my clutch burning. Pretty potent smell. Scheduled an appointment to see what CEL was about and ask about clutch and rear roters since they wear funny on the SS/TC.
Well salesman i bought 2 cars from comes to talk to me after an hour waiting in lobby since he saw my car there. I start talking about how its been over an hour and there probobly taking it for a test drive gunning it around town (being funny) when a technician walks by and goes "was that your yellow one?" and im like yea. and he tells me that he worked on it and the clutch wasnt rattling or slipping so thats fine, he said he look and i misfired in cylinder 3 but that was ancient history he said, he said it was like months ago and couldnt see anything from friday. So Idk what that was about, and he said when he tried to get my car to misfire it wouldnt even misfire, so thats not a problem. And he said my rear rotors are like that because of the ceramic brake pad has hard and soft spots. The rotor wears with the brake pad so where the hard spots are are worn in the rotor a bit so it flattens itself out and continue to wears evenly. He said the pads and rotors wear together on these cars.
HE THEN SAYS OUT OF THE BLUE! *IMPORTANT FOR ALL SS/TC GUYS*
He say's "Be careful if you get an aftermarket flash or tune." and I looked at him and was like "...what?" and he says "As soon as I pulled your car in I had to scan for it. Im supposed to now." and then i told him that i was waiting for the stage kit and he said oh alright good and that i should let gm pay for my problems and not me lol. Cool guy but im glad he said that. Made me feel better about waiting for the kit lol

^yea i heard that too. that should work. but i wonder if they can see gaps in dates. like he knew exactly when i misfired. i wonder if he can see gaps in dates and times to detect a problem. IDK, i should have asked him just for the hell of it.

the SS/TC is officially a garbage car now..... here is my Rant...
Begin rant:
i e-mailed Chevy yesterday round this time concerning the non-availability of my axle.. Yes its still broken and im still drivin on it cause they are too stingy for a rental car... thhe axle is NO-WHERE available in the whole nation. the agent was very kind and helpful and i explained to him how garbage it is that they produce a car and no spare parts for it yet roll new ones off the assembly line. so i hope you guys are supportive of me. cause chevy is now involved with this. im pretty sure ill be returning the car to stock and selling the hahn parts if they for some reason let me be rid of this car. the agent has now turned my case over to the DISTRICT agents to further get in depth and help me get the axle.
End Rant:
