anybody going to Zelienople for the flashlight drags this saturday? A friend of mine is going down and wants me to go with him.

it's supposed to be alot of fun, but our cars by-in-large aren't supposed to be that competitive there. Since it's an 8th mile it doens't favor our cars.

Besides... that's the last Sport Compact car night @ PRP!!! we have to go to that so we can sit and not run....lol

 

I wont be there that night, but have been there before. it's not too bad, but 1/8mi tracks aren't really that great for the LSJ. You need traction and torque to get good times in the 1/8mi.

 

I thought the SCC night is Friday at PRP?

well...i went down to the flashlight drags, had alot of fun, but didnt do to well.
I didnt figure I would do that well anyways, this being a short track and all but i really wanted to go to test out my reaction time and launch. I have never been to the track before so I needed to work on some things before i go get timed. i did beat a mid 90's mustang gt which was awesome...the kid wouldnt even look/talk to me after we ran though. i ran with a malibu ss with about 1500 miles on it...wow, that thing pulled a car length on me like nothing.

i finally got to see what a srt-4 could do and raced one kid. that turbo kicks in...and see ya.

so other than having fun racing, and bs'ing with people i finally gave myself enough reasons to get a stage 2 kit and some other fun stuff for my car.

 

I seen you up there, I was racing my Camaro(it's white with an ultraZ hood). I really like your paint job.

I actually got you racing a few times on video. I left when it really started to rain. I didn't run too good because of my shitty tires. I wouldn't even want to try to race my balt in the 1/8th mile, there hard enough to launch and I have bald tires.

You were the only SS I seen up there. If you're interested in the videos I can see which races I got you in.

 

Yeah, id like to see some videos if you have some. I knew I wasnt going to run that well, I just wanted to practice launching and shifting and all that.
