Wow... talk about having to keep up with shtuff.....
Chrissy... Christy... I almost got confuzzled on that one. But, that one's none of my biz...

Dave, Not sure how I feel about the wing-less SS. I think I'll need to see it in person. Did you get a whole new decklid or just remove teh wing? I thought I would like that ( and thought about it myself if I ever got a CF lid ), but after seeing it, I'm not 100% convinced now. The important thing is if YOU like it. Screw us....We're allover the place with our tastes.

What's going on for this weekend.... No Autocrossing this weekend, so I'm going to be going crazy. Think I might head to TJ's Saturday night for some drinks and food and sightseeing.

I wasn't even sue if i was going to like it, but after i took it off I really liked it so it's staying off. The holes are getting patched Friday. If anybody knows someone with a black Cobalt without the wing, tell them they can have mine for a small price.

Also I'm going to sell the XTC downpipe that I have. It is catless with a 3" outlet at the bottom, so it won't bolt up to the stock exhaust. I figured I'd offer it to the local area before I put it up for sale to the whole site. If there is any interest at all just call or PM message me.

LOL, yeah, we were trying to keep that straight last night too. It was confusing at first, but I think we all eventually caught on - Chrissy = kicked him out of the house, hates him, and hopes he dies, Christy = has fake boobies and likes him.

This weekend I'm probably out for anything, my Mom is coming into town tomorrow so I'll be putting up with her ****.....uh, I mean, enjoying her company. I might be up for something involving alcohol Saturday night though, just to get out of the house.

Wow... hadn't realized things got that bad between them. Well, that's why kids should never play with matches.

If you want to get out and stuff on Saturday night, Let me know. I will be out for wings that night and some harmless flirting with the staff there.

Dave, The downpipe you're selling... was this on the car before? What did you decide on doing now?

Ok... without sounding like a jerk....

If I did something to make a woman kick ME out... then I wouldn't be expecting that ring back. If SHe did something to ME, then yes, I would ask.

That's coming from someone who's been thru that twice ( same girl...stupid huh? ) and was on the other end of it. The 2nd time, it was more a mutual thing, and she asked if I wanted it back, and I replied bluntly....

"if you give it back, it's just going under the tire of the car on the way out, becuase that's what you did to this relationship... thrown it away".

I disagree. A ring is a sign of commitment and belonging. Regardless of the circumstances, I think you should give it back (when it's an engagement ring like in this case). Do you think she's ever going to wear it? No. What good is a $10k engagement ring if the engagement is off? It's not even about money... it's saying, "Hey, I don't want your engagement promise anymore. So take back this symbol of it."

Not that I'd ever be in the situation seeing as I'm a guy... but I would give the ring back to the girl if she bought it for me and we broke it off. Every broken off engagement I've seen has been like that too...

^^^ I agree with you.

However, she is extremely pissed at him and could careless right now. I bet she would love to do something that would **** him over, and trashing the ring would probably be it. So I doubt she is just going to hand it over.

Thats what is funny, she is already furious and doesn't even know about Christy. Wait till she finds out, lol. And they all work on the same floor at AGH.

Well, you may look at it that way, but I know ALOT of couples that have gone thru this for various reasons. A few things determine if the ring is given back

1) Situation

2) Blame

3) Anger

1) I've had friends that split because things just fell apart. 1 of them had the ring offered back, 1 the girl kept it and later traded it in for something she could use.
I've had friends that have cheated and got cuaght and the girl said "you screwed me over, this was a gift to me" and kept it. I've had guy friends that were cheated on ( and me ) and the girl offered it back.

2) see above about cheating....

It may seem cut and dry but until you have to go thru this yourself... ( which I wish on NO ONE ) you can't have the right perspective on it. Right and wrong don't really apply here.

3) Anger... well "hell hath no furry like a woman scorned" Just remember that.

You're points are quite relevant, Dan, but as I said... if you ever go thru it, you'll understand better. I hope none of you have to. Nearly killed me... and I did it twice.

Technically - and this is like unwritten law from what i understand - the guy has the RIGHT to TAKE back the ring - for any reason - unless it is given as a gift for a holiday (X-mas, Valentines ect...) or a birthday. If it is given as a gift of reason the posession is no longer the guy's.

OK, I would like to just take this opportunity to point out that if BJ had taken my ORIGINAL suggestion of taking her out, getting her shitfaced and then taking the ring whiles she's passed out and then blaming her for losing it while she was drunk, he wouldn't have to worry about the damn ring.

At any rate, I agree with BOTH Brian and Dan on some points. Personally, if it was a mutual break up or I was the one that ended it, I would give the ring back. If the bastard cheated on me then he better not even have the ***** to even ASK for it back.

LOL I just realized, my Mom's coming in tomorrow and as much **** as she gives me about "You better not be racing your new car".........I need to find some way to hide the stack of slicks sitting in my garage...LMAO.

"Well, you see mom, those, are my, uh, um, uh, gee, well, they're my uh, happy tires. Yeah. I put them on and they make me happy. Yeah, that's it."
