cobalt racer, what kind of cobalt do you have? any mods?

It's a 07 Cobalt LT 2door.

Mods besides sig stats: Tailight shade (still wait'n to receive them), radio bracket to install my cd player (miss my remote-and can finally listen to my amp/speakers again), HID lights (which I'm tak'n back out), and a DC Sports front strut bar (also wait'n to receive it). Removed tha air resonator (or whatever it's called), and put in custom grill for front middle bumper. 2.5' x 88' COBALT decal (for skirt) and "COBALT" top windshield decal should arrive anytime. Oh, and also wait'n for my "cobaltss.net" stickers. Debadged tha whole car last night.

Just got tha car with 14miles on it 2 months ago, so I still have alot to go.

 

sounds good man, i have a bunch of other stuff done to my car. i just dont feel like putting them in my sig. i also have some parts on the way. i have some parts for sale man if you interested, i used to have an 06 ls, i stripped most of the stuff off and now selling what i couldn't put on the SS. i have a show this coming sunday in dover on the green, stop by if you get a chance.

 

Hey rally...does that happen to be a sound of tristate show? Just curious. Also yeah I agree, I don't like listing my mods lol im too lazy, maybe once the motor is done I'll make a list, who knows.

ORT....yes that is the sound of tri-state show. i will be there with my car club "fatal obsession redline". we are a pretty cool group of people and i must say, we do have some good looking models. are you going to come down? i'm hoping to have some new goodies for my cobalt for this show.

 

Nahhhhh I won't be there, but I have gone to it before to place my car in the sound competition. My car won't win anything anyways lol that and its about a hour and a half or so from my house. Maybe when my car is finished I will bring it to shows, untill then......nope lol.

 

its ok, i'd beat you anyways. haha, i got 3rd place in the mild division at the street warriorz at cecil county dragway. i'm still far away from playwitcars, maybe in a couple of years.

 

Yeahhh i'm more focused on finishing my performance stuff. I don't think I'm going to be doing much more to the exterior anyways, I like it how it is....Nice and Simple. But I still can't decide if I should put the chrome inserts back on the wheels or leave them black haha.

 

oh leave it black on black, stealthy man. you pull up on someone all blacked out, they get skeered. have you lowered your car yet? i am selling my stock ss/sc springs.

yea i got the sportlines also, they are freaking great. i'll try to get an picture of my car up here. i need to get a real sig created. but i'm going to wait until i get my "burn out" picture, i have a special idea for that one. do you have a strut bar? if not i'll sell you mine out of my car, it's a fabricated one.

 

Nahhhh don't have a strut bar. I don't want to get one casue the piping for the turbo makes it hard for me to put one there, Ill have to get a custom one made.

 

oooo ok, that's cool man. how much more do you have on your build? do you have an extra engine on the side your building up or is the cobalt down and out until finished?

 

I have an extra one on the side im working on. And bascially it all has to be put together then I need to purchase the turbo kit. I just order all the internals, so I am going to get that all ready and put together. Then I just need to sit and wait and see if or when tuning comes out for the Automatic cobalts.

 

thats awesome man, any estimates at whp? i'm shooting for 300whp before i stop with the performance mods, or basically 12s.

 

Ummm hopeeeeeefully like 250. I want to be able to run around 12 to 15 psi. But we will see. Strange things can happen lol. But I am aiming for 250....maybe higher.....;-)

 

thats cool, so the internals you got are just to make sure everything holds for a long time? i wish you the best of luck man, it'll be sweet to run you at the track. man i have alot of stuff to sell, do you know another people with cobalts? i mainly need to get rid of these rims, that'll give me money for new ones on the ss. we'll have to get up sometime and cruise around. do you have my number still?

 

Yeah forged pistions, ferrea valve train LSJ connecting rods. All the goodies . And Nah unfortunatly I don't know anyone with a cobalt like mine, everyone has an SS/SC lol. And yeah i have your number, we need to have a Sonic meet or a delaware emet sometime! :-)

 

well there is a sonic in south dover..... that's the only one in delaware near us. i dont know of any from me to u. if you want to try out this pulley i got let me know, i notice a difference. hit me up man, later

There's a Sonic near Dover!? Omg, I <3 their milkshakes when I was in NC, but never knew they were upstate also.

What's tha times for tha show on Sunday? And are there any rain-dates? Cause it's supposed to storm it's ass of everyday cept Saturday.

looks good man, the neons under the dash is what i want to do. the sonic is on route 10 across from wawa before the air base. i dont know of the rain-dates for the show, but i believe it starts at like 11 or something. i'm meeting up with my club at like 9 to go over and set up our stuff.

 

When did they put a Sonic in Dover, is it new? haha casue if we hae been driving to Lanacaster this whole time and there was one in Dover that would suck lol.
