Someone suggested we hold a meet at Six Flags and, I gotta say I think it is a good idea.

If we had enough people I could work on getting a group discount for everyone. I have a friend who knows folks in the public relations department who we could talk to about it.

The plan would be to all arrive and hang out in the parking lot for a bit, park all the balts by each other, hang out check them out for a bit, take some photos and make our way to the park. We could bring refreshments and what not to hang out. The park would obviously be optional, if you wanna just arrive to hang out for a bit and then jet that would be fine.

First I need to gauge interest. So if you really are interested please respond and let me know. Right now the date would be end of March early April. This will be honed in once I get a general idea of who wants to come etc.

Once I see folks respond I will take it to the next level with fine tuning the idea.

First time trying to get a meet going so bear with me, any advice or ideas are welcome.

 

you know..it cost money to park, I dont wnana pay to basicly have a cobalt meet when we can do it free at a walmart parking lot LOL

i figure if people can afford to mod their cars they can afford 10 bucks to park. And like I said if we get enough people I am sure we can get a group rate on these things, making it even cheaper.

I live in that town so i guess i could make an appearance if one was to come . And earlier the better. Cuz during the summer that place is a lot more packed meaning we would be waiting longer in lines to go on the sweet superman ride of steel ha

 

8 people so far, the 2 that said they dislike the idea did not offer an alternative here or in the other thread.

I will do this so long as I get a definite 10 people.

Ok I have slacked long enough so heres an update bump.

The group rate for park admission is $24.50. This is contingent on getting at least 15 people to show up to this thing. This is a fricken steal compared to the normal almost $55.00 park admission.

Parking I am still working out. They say their general rate is $15.00 but, I am sure they will offer a discount if we can get the 15 people they require. I am going to call on this today.

So that being said how many people are still interested in this? The thing about group rate tickets is I am going to have to purchase them and then sell them to you guys, and people always back out at the last minute on car meets.

I will post up parking info later on today as well as some potential dates in another poll. All dates will be in May.

Ok I just got a call from a Six Flags rep and she said that they will not discount the parking rate for groups under 100 people. We will have a back portion of the parking lot to line up and take pictures etc.

So the rate for parking is $15.00. Kinda steep but, you figure even with parking and the $24.50 admission you are still going to the park for $40.00 which is a good $15 less than general admission.

Please see my other thread on possible dates for this, I need input from folks!

 

if you have AAA you can get the tickets and parking pass for a lot cheaper

 

Maybe individually you can but I don't think they are going to give you 15 tickets for your one card.

Though thats a good idea if anyone has AAA and wants to save on parking, bring your card.
