New Era spring tuning day
I noticed there were at least 4 people besides me in a different thread that want to get out to New Era in Rochester, NY to do a dyno testing and tuning day sometime this spring, I was thinking end of march or early april. I didn't want to clutter up the other thread about the WNY meet near buffalo, so I thought a new one was appropriate. Maybe we can get a list going of people that are interested and lock down a date for it. If there were already a few members interested there must be more. Whos down for that?

It looks like you guys are closer to buffalo. Is that right? Would you guys want to go to Innovative Tuning, or definitely New Era? If we could get a few more people, I wonder if one of those places would be willing to give us a little discount. I'll send an e-mail this week. I don't get on here too much to check out whats up but lets try to agree on a tentative date for one of these places... say the weekend of the 12th of April? I don't mind waiting a bit either cause tuning aint cheap and I make hardly anything at school. Whats good for you guys?

Oh well, looks like theres only one other person besides me that can go early april. Guess there wasn't as much interest as I thought. I'm hoping to go on the 12th or 13th of april, so if anyone wants to meet up in Rochester shoot me a PM.

SS/SCking - I got an e-mail from Innovative tuning in Buffalo telling me that a street tune is much more effective than a Dyno tune. They can dyno also, but I sent them a list of what I have, and what I need them to do and they said a street tune is much better in this case. They also said many times they end up street tuning a car anyways even after they dyno it because the load on a dyno is different from what your car sees on the street.
They certainly made me a little nervous about tuning on the dyno, i need a reliable daily driver and I cant afford to tune a car and then have it not run right. Have you gotten tuned before, and do you have any input on this?
