well it started up fine in the garage after sitting almost a week, but when i got in it after the gym it turned over slow so at that point i said screw it and just threw one in it. i wasn't going to deal with any issues although i do have AAA, and if i start this new job i need to know it's not going to let me sit anywhere

true that. better to be proactive at first sign of things otherwise you'll get stuck or something. better to just do it an be done with it. maintenance baby! lol
just ordered a set of DDM HID's. DDM's ballasts are digital like morimoto and with shipping included in both the cost of morimotos would have been about 176$, the DDM's are 50$. Morimoto also has a 5 year warranty. DDM is lifetime. we shall see, i need to get them an get em installed, another bulb blew again.

Duralast is rated pretty well in consumer reports. I purchased one for the X3. Atfer 6.5 years with the Delco.....I purchase another for $96 after core exchange. Just can't beat a Delco battery but my second choice is the Duralast. However, would not purchase either for my M////.

Exactly. Put those ballasts where they won't touch a drop of water or they will be garbage in a year. I can't tell you how many times I replaced mine. FYI, if you need to, ebay some ballasts. Besides that I can't say they are horrible, they work, good enough.

I've had numerous ballasts and high/low switches destroyed. Can't blame them for all of them though, a few were from water damage
My advice, if you get them, any for that matter, keep those effers dry. If you do they should last no problem.

I bought a set of hids for my gfs cobalt when they went on sale last Christmas. 2 days later the ballast went. Replaced it with one I had laying around the house and sent the old one in. They sent me an email saying it was faulty wired. Lol. There's only one way to really hook them up...

I'm not really worried about the warranty per se. Their ballasts are only 12$ a piece. I know morimoto is "better" but for the price difference I figured I'd give DDM a try. I spoke with a friend that has DDM's D2s hid's and he said he ain't had any problems since he had them installed in 2010.

btw, what size snow tires to get? hmmm. do i get a 16" package going on steelies or are 18" snow tires as effective? both would be comparable width, the 16" would potentially be 215/55-16 and the 18" tires probably 225/40-18.
experiences? facts preferred. experience preferred. both would end up being around the same price.
