Haven't heard from Ed about the SRT's woes, so I'm assuming he'll not be joining the fun tonight... shame.... I wanted to see what that car was going to be capable of.
They were "only" able to get about 320-340 out of it and that was with the a/f mix f'd and the intercooler heat-soaking.

Great time last night and MAN WAS IT PACKED!

Excellent turnout for the Cobalt/Ion contingent. The D-spec models were in full force and in the 13's! that was cool.

Karla, how was your last run? Hang in there. I know it's frustrating your 1st time out, but things will go better and once you do it a few weeks, you'll see your times drop way down.

Was a bit dissappointed I didn't get a better time, but oh well... i know now where my car does NOT like to launch from. that -0.093 light proves it. Had I not had the wheel hop and such, I could've seen taht run into the 14's.

OK... back to work.

im content with my last run... got a 15.42 so that was way better. on my way home last night i went to go into second and it wouldnt go again till i put it in third then second. makes me a little steamed but i will hope to do better next time. and hopefully next time i will have my fuel injectors and pulley. i will be out there wed. either way.

 

oh yeah, and a car full of guys were trying to mess with me on my way home and i wasnt wanting to play with all the cars out but finally i just got totally had enough and just went. then a mitubishi just flew past it and it tried going after that and i was behind him... smoke just started pouring out of this POS. so much that i couldnt see. so i went into the other lane and passed them... haha, they looked so pissed and went passed the mitubishi and gave him a thumbs up for that one... haha i was laughing my ass off. teaches them to mess with me.

 

Karla....you will definitley like the injectors and the pulley. My car is running great, a little rough on the idle, but that was expected. Good job on the tune Dan. Now we just need to give me some more boost in 1st!

Almost the end of Autocross for the year ( only like 5 more ) and then it's off to mod-land for the SS... going to be working on getting a beater here shortly as well. Not going to be fun driving the balt in teh snow if I start working on it.

LOL Brian, one thing I'm finding with the route I've chosen - DAMN it's expensive. Still haven't picked what coilovers I want, but depending on that I'm looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000-4000. I have a guy from BeaveRun trying to talk me into putting a full cage in the car on top of that too.

Think I could explain that to the warranty guys? "What do you mean you have reason to suspect I have been using my car for performance driving?" "Rollcage like in a race car? Oh God no. I'm just extremely safety conscious...you can never be too careful you know..."

 

Well, from then on, just pull in there in a cycler's helmet, and when they ask about it, and the cage say " my daddy won't let me go out in the car unless I have the cagey thing and my head bumper on"

Boost in December-January.

I called Day... they'll resurface my rotors for me, but no-go on the GM d/s rotors. I tried. I called Don Allen too... since they're about 5 minutes from work here that would be convenient. They didn't get back to me yet though. I can't decide if I want to have them resurfaced for free under warranty, or just splurge and buy new d/s rotors.
