Yeah, I only had the car for 3 months (and 2 of those months were winter driving). I've been driving manuals since I turned 16, but the fact that I hadn't learned to launch yet in the car makes me think I might be able to shave .1 or .2 off of the 14.8 tonight.

 

Well we figured given a near perfect launch, mine could have been a 14.5 or lower. I had a 2.3 60' with some wheel hop but I missed the shift to second AND the shift to third. So that was a 14.807 with a less than perfect launch plus 2 missed shifts. So you can definitely get it down there.

 

That's what I figure too. The only problem is the '04s have a VERY conservative stock tune (I guess we were the guinea pigs), so I'm hoping the TQ management via the boost bypass won't bleed too much boost when I hit that TQ number high in the rpms. I don't want to do the boost bypass mod yet - I want to get some good stock numbers to compare to the mods we're doing this weekend.

 

yeah... I got 14.9 with 2.3 60' times as well... so you should be able to do better.

put a screw in ur boost bypass line if ur that worried...wont hurt anything...will give a lil more boost in 1st and 2nd

Jen's friend Cass just got a new bartending job so she invited us all out to her new spot for drinks, so I'll be hanging with my crew from Beaver (almost said my Beaver people....but that wouldn't sound right). I don't know how many passengers, if any I will have for Friday. Initially it was supposed to be Mike, his girlfriend, and his sister, but now he said his other sister and her husband trying to put together a family thing on Friday, so I may not join the bring the ex to the track club after all.

 

Not sure if I'll have the pass for the weekend or not. I might use it if I go tonight, and if not, then I WILL use it on Friday night.

With the Stillers playing tonight, I can see ALOT of runs being made sicne there won't be a huge crowd.

 

Yeah, I'm doing a bank account check tonight when I get home, I think I'm running tomorrow no matter what. Mike is supposed to let me know if he's coming and whether or not he's bringing Ashleigh and Susan by tonight.

Anyway, gotta run or I'm going to miss my bus and be late for work.

2) Have fun tonight guys. I wish I was gonna be out there, but I don't have the money to go out there tonight AND tomorrow. Which sucks cause I need something to do.

3) Tomorrow's up in the air now. It's doubtful Mike will be going and I'm going for sure to State College next weekend, so I need to save some $$$ to auto-x out there. I got screwed out of a ton of hours at work this week, so money is even tighter than normal. This sucks. I need a second job like NOW...
