good job toastie. sanding by hand definitely the worst possible experience. after one wheel i kno you prolly wanted to quit. good job on pushing through! now just push through the masking and make sure you take your time, don't wanna have to sand it all again beacuse you were lazy on the masking. then spray the **** outta it and let the paint flash before you spray another coat on. remember thin coats take more time but will always come out the best in the end. don't forget the clear coat after they dry either, otherwise the heat and UV will fade em quick.

What do you guys think about a black with brown sprakles/flakes in it?
It looks like this, except instead of metallic (silver) sparkles they're brown?
12 oz. Textured Metallic Spray Paint-252304 at The Home Depot
This is a picture I took, they don't look brown in this picture but you get the idea... (the one on the left)
Or should I just go with black gloss?

dude, you know that will literally be textured right? like it won't be smooth, it will instead have a rough feel to it. you shouldn't even have bother sanding if you were going to use textured paint.

i have a gunmetal metallic wheel paint you can have for them, if you spray a base coat or two with black you can get away with a single can of metal top coat, if you want it.

personally i wouldn't spray textured onto a wheel. i sprayed it onto my supercharger because i didn't wanna sand it down to a smooth finish but i probably would only use it in those instances. if the part is smooth i would definitely use a non-textured paint. you can do any color you want and just get a metallic spray top coat that is non-textured to finish it off if you want a lil flake in it.

you can get that sparkle in a spray can, problem is that its a small can and wayyy overpriced. i think its like 10-15$ for a small can. you can probably get that type of brown. if you use that brown you had and just put alot of clear on top it will deepen the brown and increase the shine.
