Spotting Balts...
I hate when I'm driving down the parkway and I spot a coupe, pull up next to it, and its some old guy in a business suit or a 50yo woman daily driving.
Where are all the cool people in Jersey?

I know the feeling... it's the same way where I'm from, near Indy. I always see middle-aged folks driving Cobalts around here (I've pretty much given up hope of ever finding a Cobalt enthusiast in a sedan... no offense to any sedan owners reading this). When I spot a coupe like mine, orange LS or base, it's always a teenage girl driving it. Makes me feel like crap...

Burlington County, right near Mcguire AFB and about half an hour south of Six Flags. I have seen a blue and a black SS/SC both driven by chicks out my way, but hardly see em and when I do it's usually raining or somethin. I know the one in the blue cobey is nice lookin..lol..Usually the same outcome as what ya'll are talkin about though, young weird lookin kid or old fart in 2.2's..

Sounds good. It would have to be on the weekends though. I work 3rd shift from 11pm to 730am and my work week starts on sunday. Ends friday morning though, which is nice. I'm down to chill sometime though. May bring my boy, he has a VR4. Not sure if he'd drive or roll with me though. lol...Let me know when an I'll see what I can do. I need to take one of these saturdays and try to put my springs on..

7pm on saturdays?? Probably not this weekend, have my car payment. Next weekend, the 16th ish would probably be the one. I don't have the spring compressor tool, so my boy an I will be taking the fronts out an having a shop swap the springs off the struts, do the rears last, then when we are completely done have them do the alignment. Could possibly use the extra hand though, especially if you have some lowering spring knowledge. Thanks for the offer by the way

I installed springs and struts on my previous car, 2001 Eclipse GT.
I went to school for auto mechanics, and worked at a shop before too. I might be able to secure that saturday off, ill have to see with one of the guys at work.

Sweetness..You wouldn't happen to have a spring tool would you? If not it's cool, I will just stick with payin a mechanic to swap off the front springs for me. My boy and I planned on doin the whole swap, and just paying for them to take the stock springs off the strut and putting the new ones on, then the alignment afterwards. Should save some money that way. Otherwise, I've been quoted like 350-400 bills and that is outrageous. The rears are cake, and the front shouldn't take too long ya know..

Yeah plenty of us up North, but I definetly know what you mean. One time I saw a clean SS Sedan on the turnpike, I rolled up next to the car to give the driver a thumbs up, but it was a 60 something woman and her 3 friends... not cool lol.

Northern NJ here, there's also a blue ss/sc, an 07 black ss/sc, another black ss/sc, a black 2.4 ss, orange ss/sc, three red ss/sc's (only met one of them though, and one lives in my town but is not very social), and a silver ss/sc, tonio, d4usoft, all within 10 miles of me

Ive seen 3 other SS/SC with young guys driving. A SS/NA with a old lady behind the wheel and countless base coupes and sedans with old people. Its ridculous, our car will be the new crown vic in a few years the way it seems here.
