Spring '08 Tri-State Area Dyno Day/Meet
#26
can someone find out how much it costs to tune, and if there's a discount on the dyno day? i see dyno tuning for $400 which seems really high to me, if that's the case i'd rather just get hp tuners.

I Actually forgot to ask about AWDs (my bad, sorry), did he charge you more than $65 the last time around?
I'll check with him when I ask about the AWDs $...

I specifically asked him if he would tune and install that day, his reply was that he would "do work" that day... I would imagine that means both tune and install depending on the number of cars that show... After all it only took him about 45 minutes to tune my car...

yea, last time like....6 or 7 cobalts came, and he didnt tune....i wouldnt count on him tuning......if u wana tune and it takes 45 minutes...and than everyone else wants one at 45 minutes each there wont be enough time for him to dyno.....ive been workin with matt for a while now, im not saying he wont, just saying dont count on it.

i was thinking of just waiting until this meet to get dyno tuned, but after what MISSMATCHEDFACES said, i'll just get dyno tuned in a few weeks and then just come back for the meet. but of course i'll get dynoed again, it's addicting.

I would assume that Matt will charge the usual price for doing any tuning... The main purpose of the dyno day is to get a group together at the shop and I'm sure for Matt part of that is being able to sell some of his other services to members of that group... I didn't have a clue Tune Time Performance existed let alone existed 5 miles from my house before the last dyno day. So far I have dropped about grand there... Your best option is to contact Matt about any tuning you would like to have done in advance of the date and find out if he can do it on that date... I would imagine anything complex would not be attempted that day due to the number of people and limited time.

Guys, just to let you know, dyno days consist of dynoing your car...and that's it. I've been to a couple. All they do is dyno you real quickly then they move onto the next person. Don't expect matt to tune many people if any at all. That is all
