alpine setup isn't terrible at all.. pulls like a champ with solid power increase all through the rpm range. the ripp sds has a terrible power dropoff in the high rpm and has been known to pop motors and cause all kinds of problems. That's not to say they aren't good.. but it's a little beyond my expertise to get it running right.

iv seen a few vids of turbo tibbs pulling on evos on high way rolls, the tq should be pretty good since its a v6. the fact that your auto may hurt a little, but i bet it would be a good race .

Yeah the torque is great. The dynos ive seen have a flat torque line and i can feel it all through the powerband

And for the people saying that it was a little weak... I was talking wheel not crank... crank horsepower I'm already in the ballpark of 250.

Pics coming in a few mins!
You get that Supercharger Kit from Next Generation?

Supercharger is from Alpine

But long story short.. I met up with Element-X, and the kid that was filming wanted to shoot from his car and his shitty volvo couldn't keep up with us. My mom was calling me up screaming (I'm 18 and live at home going to college so I have to deal with it) and I only had time for a few quick pulls. I hope we can meet up again and get some real footage with someone in my car.

From a 40 roll he murdered me as I suspected.. way below my powerband. Even when I hit 60 I was too far back to catch

From a dig I got a good jump but had to let off because 2 lanes became one and I didn't want a Tibbolt after the wreck.

From a 60 roll, I walked him by a few cars.\

Also 20 roll, I put a car on him then my phone rang (damnit mom!) and I missed second so he won that one.. driver error is no excuse

All in all, my tib vs cobalt ss is a great matchup.. very very good exciting races. I wish my head was into it a little more than it was though... but next time will be better!

Sounds cool! Your car should be a beast come spring!

You'll have to come to the CT dyno meet in May!

anywhere in CT is like a 45 minute drive...if you wanna come up...me come down...lets do it...i get outta work at like 6...so after that...Also I'm tryin to get a few people here in Manchester together for a dyno day or whatever...it would be sick to have an import there to be the "control" on the experiment...

was that a stock or moded ss? b/c with our cars a few bolt ons is a big differents just look at our stage 2 kits with that alone we make as much as he did with a supercharger!!

Element-X has a CAI.

But also remember, Phantom is only at 4psi right now.

Yeah I've got a shitload of boost to go.. but right now I'll get walked by the Stage 2 upgrade. I know without headers I'm losing so much power so those are going in very soon, and I should perform even better

but I'd love to come to a couple of meets and be the guinea pig

I love my car whether I walk away or get left in the dust, and I know you guys are the same way about your cars. It feels good to win, but honestly when I lost on the 40 pull I didn't feel bad at all. I just enjoy being around cars and other enthusiasts no matter how bad I'd win or lose.

You're absolutely right.. I expect to be brutally raped by a stage 2. However, when all is said and done and I have my headers, fuel upgrades, 8psi pulley and a tune... I expect to hang pretty well with some of the faster balts

I think I'm probably going to spend a lot more time here now.. I posted the races up at the tib forum and I got "im surprised you didn't do better" ... yeah that coming from someone who's tib is probably stock at 145whp

I hear Exit 8 off 91 has a lot of action around 10-11pm on Friday.. I'm going to be there and I'm gonna invite Element-X so hopefully he'll join us too... if you can drop by I'll PM you my cell
