sounds good man, yea it's a great price in my opinion. it's a "one time" fee and if u ever change anything on your car or think it could use a tweak.... all you pay if dyno time.

Right now just to dyno and hanging out. I want to get some base line numbers for my stock TC. I know where they'll be around, but I want to get exact #'s for my car. Once I get some bolt ons and a tune then I'll be in for a dyno tune as well .... good to meet some local cobalt owners!!!

PS - I sent you a PM on tristate ...

My pants got shorter ......

I want to make sure I do everything (performance wise) logically). That's why I'm going to start with bolt ons and then move to tune so I get the most out of it without having to re-tune since I added on something after the tune. I know that GM's tune removes the learn-down feature and I've read the the trifecta tune is basically a "learn up" feature, but once you start adding bolt ons, etc. then you need to get retuned to get the "air flow" you're looking for .... ghey

yea... with the SS/TC, the tune from a stock standpoint is freaking awesome! but doing all the bolt-ons first and then getting a tune.... IMO is a smarter way to go.

wantedSS/TC.... i dont know if you saw the prices, but it's $300 for a dyno tune, that's a one time charge. so you could get a pretty sick tune now. and that'll put u in "the system" so when you do add parts you can easily come back to the shop and have them re-tune you and all you'll pay is dyno time. so its a really sweet deal, i think. but of course its ur decisions

Very true, but the only reason I'm keeping away from the aftermarket tunes are to simply keep my warranty. I know it would take something major for the chevy dealerhship to suspect a tune and plug into my obII, but I'd rather not take that chance if I don't have too (plus I've only owned the car for a month) .

Honestly though, if the GM tune isn't out by mid summer then consider an aftermarket tune on order as I'd be unable to wait anymore for more power

haha i hear ya man. but u can always get the tune flashed off and ur stock tune put back on. the dealership wouldn't expect a thing. (been there, done that). the GM would be nice because of the warranty part, but i'm very sure that you'll end up paying twice as much for it and only get half the power. just wait until you pass the "break-in" period on your car, do all the bolt-ons u want then get a sweet dyno tune.
