Trick question? do they even make a drive shaft that meets that torque rating for the stock lsj trans/steering knuckle?

Your right it was an inside joke as well as a trick question. Lets wait for the answer together.

ok update... new motor is finally gonna be built soon, My head is going in next saturday to have it ported and new valve train installed, also gonna have the stock cams reground for the hell of it.
just waiting for my parts to come in then the motor will be balanced and assembled by www.rippmods.com in SI ,NY. looking for about 450 whp on nitrous with the stock blower and once the turbo system is up and running I should be in the 500-550 whp range.. let the fun begin.
and Victory, I"m tryin to get in touch with the shop this week, hopefully get there at some point saturday afternoon and get the final measurements taken.
hopefully

I appreciate that.
Just to let you know I am at the point of the project where I am now working (out of necessity) with a couple of other companies trying to get driveshafts made. I am needing strong shafts sooner than later as the engine should be ready to go in by the end of the month. The first company to guarantee me that they can make shafts to hold 750+whp, and in quick order, will get my order.

I hear ya... unfortunatly I've been stuck cobaltless for the last few months so things kinda got put on the backburner til the car was running again. Still isn't 100% but its driveable.
but I"ll def be needed something in that range myself now since I'll won't be too far behind your numbers.
