You dont need a better upper mount. You need to get out of the polyurethane frame of mind if youre gonna use these.

Steddy2112 has these on his 280whp/300wtq LNF, we TOOK OFF his ttr upper mount when we put these on. I am sure he'll tell you he has no interest in breaking his pretty Synapse DP,and there is no polyurethane used on his car.

 

So these damp engine movement as well as rotate it into position? I was going to fab a bracket to make a torque brace mount with these. :shrug: If that's not necessary - cool!

lsjwannabe (OTTP) - I realize you didn't start a thread, but you stated that there would be a package with these mounts and the axles; you then stated that you had pricing to be posted with the pics. Again - I know I'm coming off as the ass in this thread and really that's not me - I have run shops before, I don't tell people I am offering something that I don't have. I love your products and all the work you're putting in for our cars; that's why I want to buy all this stuff from you guys (only the turbo and some tuning will be on my own for the twincharge). I just don't make statements to clients if I can't follow through right away, and posting here is pretty much just that - dedicated thread or not. If you didn't intend to imply that the axles were offered, why is that info in this thread? Why arewe indicating on the list whether or not we want them?

Anyway, I'll stop posting this stuff now - you guys make an awesome product and I look forward to working with you. I need the axles and mounts ASAP, so please let us know as soon as you have something together.

Well as i am sure you have participated in a gb before, you will know that there are terms and different pricing for larger amounts of people. Also the fact that shipping can not take place until that threshold has been reached. We are just waiting to hear back from driveshaft shop, sometimes they just take more time than we would like. Thats why pricing was not released yet for a combo because that pricing is not yet available to us, and it would be a huge disappointment to say we could do a price and not come close. I hope you understand we are going as fast as we can to make all this happen and to get you the products you need

 

You want the stock mount with the rotated trans mounts since it is flexible. Unless of course you want to break stuff with a solid engine mount

i will be putting my stock upper mount back on when i do this and ditching the ttr mount i have on there now.

I can't find my damn stock mount, so I have that ZZP billet thing on there for now with the O.G. trans mounts.

if i got the Ingalls Damper on my Stock Mount.. should i take that off..?

 

It doesnt really do much. Waste of money imo.

 

Can someone please explain why having poly mounts would cause you to break a downpipe, or anything else for that matter?

I understand that this product changes the angle and as such reduces/eliminates wheel hop, but because it uses the stock MMI's, I don't understand how it reduces drivetrain motion and the power losses associated with that during shifting or eliminates shift slop.

It seems to me that there are other performance issues that this product does not address and poly mounts do. I understand that this is a judgement call made for daily drivers who are bothered by the vibration caused by poly mounts, but to say that they're unnecessary or don't do anything?

Also, where is the track video showing elimination of wheel hop on a prepared surface? As stated before, I experience no wheel hop on the street, but at the track it's terrible.

I dont think anyone is saying that poly mounts break downpipes, and they wont, so thats not really warranting any explanation at this time.

This product does not utilize the production inserts. It uses a unique insert to reduce engine movement without inducing objectionable vibrations to the cabin.
