the headunit is not going to work if you try to bypass the onstar system, you have to buy the $100 harness that connects to the onstar. If you dont the audio won't work on the unit.

I actually have this deck in my car and I was able to use the cheap harness. I know 2005 uses the cheap harness. 06+ takes the stupid expensive harness I believe.....

i have an 06 it used the cheap one.....
heres the quote and my kenwood did this automatically i didnt have to set the antenna up.
"I used the 70-2103 harness from metra, you wire is up like normal, and wire the blue antenna up to the blue amp on wire in the harness. Then you set the avic to power on the antenna whenever the unit is on (versa only on when the radio is playing)"
or you can connect the amp power to your stereo power source through the car i think

ya theres 2 one of those like powers the buttons and stuff i think its only one harness (big one) that controls audio so you only use the big on i thought i havent remembered to look when mine was out

Yeah I have two plugins that plug to the back of the stock radio... Two square plugins. Damn I need to know which harness you have so I can get it.. Also bump for an good radio, my friend haves one in his tahoe and their nice

Trust me guys it's the cheap harness for the 05 and 06's I only used the one plug and left the other one unhooked I erased the pm with the instructions on how to hook it up when I bought my avicd3 from a guy on here I'll pm him and try to get them or I'll take my dash apart and look

youll use one and the colors are the same lol you just hook them up i didnt do anything special all you gotta do is make sure to power the stock amp wire whether its seperate or not

thats what the guy in the faq thing that i quoted used! i dont know which i have its blue like tht so i think its the metra one for a cobalt or this one they may be the same its gm double dins....

maybe....i know that one shoul have purple brown green and white maybe grey thats all the speakers... then theres a blue amp wire and youll need a power wire from a windshield or fuse that goes on with the car for the stereo. pm emperorjj hes an audio guru
