y'all ever held that elbow in your hand? there is a ridiculous amount of reinforcement in it... i'd be way more worried about sucking one of the stock rubber intercooler couplers closed before the AEM unit... unless AEM redesigned it as well... mine was pretty effin sturdy..

I spoke to an AEM representative about their intake for the Cobalt SS/SC. They told me during testing they saw no gains by using a full aluminum intake over their airbox replacement. What people to this day still dont understand is we have a cold air intake from the factory. The stock plastic piping is not as restrictive as some make it out to be. I've run many different intakes, and felt little to no difference between any of them.
you wont get much gains from any intake, the only difference you will get is alot louder supercharger
