Centerforce releases clutch for Ion REDLINE and SS S/C
this had been under R&D for the better part of 2 years now and they finally released it. I know of one of the testers and he had nothing but good things to say about it.
if this is a repost my bad. I asctually thought that they released it awhile back.

even 1,100 isnt bad remember guys we dont drive camaros or mustangs or evos. its simple economics. its called the law of supply and demand. if retail stores are selling a product in mass quantities then the manufacturer cuts them deals which they pass on to us. if the demand isnt there the supply wont be either so the cost is higher. its all up to us on the price we have to get out there and buy it though.
damn cobalt and redline owners never cease to amaze me (especially lately) people bitch when there arent parts available and then when there are parts, they wine that they cost too much. I'm not trying to be a ass guys im just saying theres alot of negative nancys around lately.

.... first off... what kind of power or torque ratings are we looking at? Kind of need something to compare to.
Second.... Why does the ad say 05-06, and not 05-07?

im going to go out on a limb here and say that the power level this clutch can hold is close tot aht of the exedy hyper single. on center forces website the clutch should have a capacity to hold a 400+ WHP car.
remember centerforce offers two clutchs for our cars the the DF and the DFX series.
i believe the DFX has a 6 puck disk it also has more holding clamping power and is the one that is probably closest to the exedy hyper single clutch.
also the DFX is the one that crate engine depot carries i believe.
here loook at this.

That looks like a real nice kit! The only real difference I can see between it and the Exedy Hypersingle kit is the my Exedy kit has a billet pressure plate instead of a stamped steel one. For the savings though, and if it indeed works the way its supposed to that is a steal for this combo!
