If you have anyone nearby you has an Impact gun, air compressor and proper sized socket this bolt comes off real easy. It also helps to use a spring compressor kit to take off the load of the springs before removing the top bolts. Most auto parts stores will loan a spring compressor kit to you. I just had to remove my struts last night for the second time since I have owned my Balt. I can't imagine getting that particular bolt off any other way without damaging something in the process. I have seen posts where others have broke off studs because they didn't compress the springs and tried to remove the top bolts. Just trying to help...

I was quite confused to the first time when I seen that nut with the allen key hole in the center. I scratched my head for awhile until I finally decided to pull out my air tools. An impact gun whether it's pneumatic or electric will have enough force to break it loose within a matter of seconds It's the easiest possible way to go about it without having a very high risk of destroying something trying to remove it any other way.

Bump!! still have these, and here are some pics. They do have some minor surface rust (mostly on the fronts) from seeing a michigan winter, but they are still in good shape.
