3 inch on a n/a will reduce backpressure to the point where it will actually hurt performance.
the denser the exhaust charge the faster it will flow, if you have a huge pipe with hot air flowing out of it, that gas will be flowing slower than say a 2.5".
i could be wrong but that's what i thought.

You have to find a point where you eliminate as much backpressure as possible while maintaining exhaust flow.

so you're trying to tell me that getting that dp with a full bolt on 2.2 would not be a bad thing?
in that case i may want it.
can OP tell me how much smaller that cat is compared to the LSJ stock cat? cause right now the LSJ cat is hitting my sway bar. because its a LSJ dp on a automatic car.
if the cat is significantly smaller i'd love to talk further.
