GMPP manifold, modified, for sale
So I got this manifold without realizing that the flange had been cut by a previous owner. I ported it and sold it to a member, who had sealing issues with it using a stock gasket. Once I got it back, I realized that it had been modified and would leak with a GM gasket, but would seal perfect with a composite gasket. If there's interest, I can sell it with the needed gasket. It's a GMPP extrude honed manifold that has been ported, it's as good as it gets for a stock casting. Let me know what you guys think. I hate to toss it in my own car just to sell it, someone could put it to better use than that.

Offically for sale! Found awesome gaskets that will seal up perfectly from none other than ZZP, so i'm including one with it to whoever buys it.
$190 shipped. This is the best performing stock casting you will ever have, a GMPP that's been expertly ported. No downsides IMO compared to any shorty header.

Why would anyone cut their manifold like that? What would be the point? Did it crack and the person thought cutting it would let him close the gap and re align the bolt holes when he bolted it to the engine?

Don't know. The flange is separated from factory so there's no real reason to notch it out in that area anyway. I didn't even realize what was done until we had a sealing issue with it on the stock gasket.
I'm with you, I can't see what this accomplished. The manifold is in perfect shape and was barely warped, much less than the average stock LSJ manifold, when I had it resurfaced after porting. So I doubt the cutting was for a bolting up issue.
