No, he's telling you that you need to buy the unlock for anything other than 2006.

Single 2007 car is 2 credits, at $49.99 each.

Out of curiousity with standard you can log for a remote tune correct? Just curious because I have a wideband but wouldnt be able to hook it up? (mostly looking to clean up idle with cams, happy with power level) would this allow me to do that? If so im very interested.

You can log for a remote tune with Standard. Just need the laptop connected. I hear there is a way to get the wideband in using standard but I don't know it yet.

So I could send a log without AFR to a tuner but without the AFR would they really be able to fix anything?

Yes it can log the factory wideband on LNF. I did it. But it displays in Lambda

yea i heard on the LNF it could read the AFR on standard. (any decent tuner should not have a problem converting lambda)

For the LSJ there is a way to "rig" up the AFR to read correctly on standard but im not sure on the specifics. Try googling it i know the LS1 guys have done it.
- As far as logging w. out AFR i know many tuners will not tune without it just because you would have to tune based on the trims and crap and it turns into a guessing game.

standard hpt unlocked for 06 lsj with no credits for 350? is that shipped?

I have a 06 redline, so id assume that would be unlocked as well? If so, Ill buy it.

Ive been told by a pro HPT user that its the engine that is unlocked.. Not the car. But could be wrong. Its just a question.

Cobalts are seperate from Ion's, but as mentioned it unlocks the year/model, so you can tune any engine variety that is supported. I could tune my Ex'gf's 2006 2.4L SS after I unlocked the year by tuning multiple LSJ's, but I still have to buy credits to tune an 06 Ion Redline.
