that looks like an e-bay intake .... the e-bay intakes look just like the injen intake. i think you should flip the intake over and snap a photo of the injen logo to prove its ligit.

the injen coupler for the ss/sc does look like the one in the photo, but the intake pipe should have the injen logo on it. the op has his intake flipped over where you can't see if there is a logo there. he should flip it around to prove the logo is there. the injen intake only comes in two color choices (polished & black). the ops looks like a natural aluminum color.

Thumbs up

I was sold it (used) as an Injen, (came in an Injen box) but I decided to buy a brand new one in black, when I had more money. It didn't have a logo on it, but I compared it to my new one and it's pretty much identical! If you put them side by side they really aren't different.

Since the badge gets rubbed on by the hood strut support, it might be better off without the badge...

I'd really like to sell it, which is why it is a good deal.

Question

I understand guys. Mine doesn't have a plate or anything on it, so I guess it must be a copy of one. I don't know enough to know where it came from because I bought it from here as an Injen and it's exactly the same. If it doesn't have a plate/logo then I guess it isn't one! I've corrected the thread title.

I've heard a lot of people say the logo/plate/badge gets damaged any how, so this one won't have that problem. Plus it's going to work just the same.

see, why i kno it's not a ligit injen intake is because it looks like the pipe was cut before the MAF mount. injen intakes have a small lip there for the filter. also, it doesn't have a polished finish. who ever sold it to you man lied. also, even if the badge isnt there, there should be a small indent left over. injens second design of the ss/sc intake indented the emblem to provide clearance for the hood strut. in all reality it should perform just as good. all intakes for the ss/sc produce about the same gains (8-10whp). Good luck with your sale.

Where were you when I bought it? LOL (Dude, you keep all that sh*t in your head?)

Yeah, the wanker who sold it to me lied, it was even posted as a red colored one - but I didn't know as much about it as you do! I figured since it's pretty much identical, it would perform the same. And to pay nearly $100 more for the name plate seems like a lot to pay for 'Injen'...

I have done a lot of research over the years in terms of performance mods for the SS/SC. Yeah, the guy def. lied, but at least he didn't sell it to you for injen's price. The e-bay intake has some design flaws that can cause a CEL (check engine light), but over all it should perform just as well as the injen.

Bump - what's in a name? This will (apparently) perform just the same.
