LNF cobalt auto trans swap

Well after a few months of tinkering with the setup, we pulled it out over the weekend and changed back over to manual (only to discover a broken sensor which was the cause of all our issues).
So anyway we have up for sale:
built 4t45 trans with all brackets and mounts to work in a cobalt
TCM
Stock auto shifter and cables
Built converter @3500 rpm stall
Trans cooler w/ fan
Fan temp controllers
Correct axles for swap including one spare.
Modified factory harness (needs a few clip ends off car being swapped and a repin of the body harness)
Was only used for a few pulls on 14.7 psi, was having issues with the car staying in limp mode, ended up being a broken sensor that we didn't see until I pulled everything this weekend..

looking for $3000 local pickup.
Shipping will be a pita since it's pretty damn heavy and filled with new Royal purple atf (don't want to drain

can post pics tonight if needed.

Just curious, but why did you convert it to auto? Better gearing? Or stronger trans?

I just don't understand why they didn't sell some of the SS/TC's with auto since the HHR SS had the option (sure there was a lower power output, but oh well).

Good luck with the sale. If I were further with my car (in other words if I had my SC setup), I would definitely consider this, but I'm taking my time since I just paid my car off.

car was being set up for drag/street driving. Went to auto since we were going to go real big on the power, but now just keeping it where it is @500 crank hp with a rebuilt trans w/4.45's in it. Should move out for what it is.

More or less just lost the focus on this car. Trying to push my Z06 past the 1XXX whp mark by next summer and its just a waste of too much money building both cars.

No such thing as a waste, especially for those of us who have to start with a base model, rather than an SS/SC or SS/TC...lol. To some people it may be a waste, but to me, no way. I would say if money weren't an issue, do both anyway.

yeah but there is an ls1 firebird to build in the very near future, his cobalt is still rocking a gt3076r @28 psi, rebuilt trans w/4.45 gears, hahn catless downpipe and catback, hahn fmic and charge pipes and methanol injection. Still setup for a healthy 500hp.
