What would be the best option? I might as well upgrade if possible, but I don't know much about internals

There isn't much for upgrading those unless you want to fork out about 4 grand. What causes them to fail is weak valve springs from overrevving. Get new factory lash adjusters and rockers, then get some ZZP retainers and springs, or just buy mine off of me. Never been used, I'll sell em for 260 shipped. Brand new without shipping, they cost 290. Just bought the ported head and cams combo which comes with valve springs and retainers already installed.

Might have to take those off your hands, depending on what the dealer says

Ok, well, they'll be here. I didn't want to start a thread until I got my engine installed so I could post up my fidanza flywheel since I'm getting a new one with my new engine and other things.

I didn't think it was over rev and it doesn't appear to be the case, so far. The rockers and lash adjusters were fine, but I've lost all compression in cylinder 1 and now theyre digging in deeper to find the cause
