it works, its not the best set up, idealy it would be on the manifold but the turbo used to be internally gated so i can see why this ended up as the result

i think with some modding it can be cut off from exhaust and made to a real external(dump tube). looking at those fins really scares me. i know it was rebuilt but.. so this will mount up to my LSJ and have no clearance issues?

it could be modded, but then you would have to do something with the turbo exhaust flange. or just leave it how it is and cut the dump pipe thats going back into the exhaust and plugged the hole on the exhaust pipe. or leave it like this, it will be quite and you wont hear the wastegate opening though, but thats what i liked it about. the turbo is a precision 5031 50trim turbo i guess, rated for 470hp i beleive it was....yes, the fins look like that cause it was rebuilt and ill see if i cant get it rebuilt once more befor it sells. this came off a cobalt and he had no fitment issues, then i put this on a saturn and i had to mod some stuff to make it work, but i have an odd ball 2004 model. so if you have a cobalt, you shouldnt have any problems.

Just don't bother with a turbo swap. It won't work on on your car
