how easy is it to take the stock knob off?

I have mine but the damn plastic top broke off.

I believe they put a screw in the top now so it doesn't pop off...not 100% sure but I remember a tsb about knob ejections (ie eye seeking missiles) and had the problem.

Do you have reverse lockout? If so then maybe.

can you take a pic of the underside? i think it might still fit even though i dont have reverse lockout.. its just the knob right?

I tried to resize it not sure what happened.

Do you have reverse lockout? If so then maybe.


My buddy did that a couple times. He was ******* gorilla shifting or something, but he would launch the knob into the back seat on a 1-2 shift when it came off. Happened at least 3 times.

ok someone help i have an 06 cobalt ss and i am taking the shifter knob off and i have the hex screx off underneath the plastic top. how do i get the actual knob off i cant get it off
