Cost varies with alot of different options. This is the biggest hurdle your going to tackle is getting a manifold with a turbo to fit if you want it.

yea but im willing to spend $400 now and search around rather than wait another year and spending 3k on a full kit?

i just need to know 1. if it really is possible on a 2.2 lt and
2. How much it will be to make it solid and reliable...i will worry about upping the amount of boost in later years

1. It Is 100% possible on a 2.2lt
2. Reliability when making power on a car is hard to achieve without overbuilding things. Your car right now is reliable, my car stock was reliable, now I'm hoping it will be and I've overbuilt everything but its hard to say. I'd say to get your car running perfect with all the parts and whatnot you might need another 2k into your project.

Yes, puting a turbo on a 2.2 is possible(see my sig). You will need to look into tuning tho. Installing the turbo is the easy part. Tuning it is going to be the fun part. You can reliably run 8psi off a smaller turbo on the 2.2 without doing any engine modifications. Just make sure your tuned.

yea i would only run about 8 anyway, but now the deal is my insurance i need to know if spending 400 now and waiting for my drive train insurance to run out then installing it for 2k will be worth it saving the 1k by not buying a kit......
