Description: What I have here is a VIS carbon hood in "OK" condition. Now I say ok because it does have some pealing but the major part of it is that the hood has been warped. I was told by a few body shops near me that the pealing could be fixed by wet sanding the whole hood down and then clearing it. It has not been cleared before. As far as the warped part of it goes, hood pins is the only real option to help/fix that, but there are no promises made with that. Due to is flaws I am listing it at a real world price. I just don't have the time or patience to deal with it. I've run this hood for two summers and have had no problems with it coming loose or anything of the sort. I am posting pictures of all defect with the hood. There is also I small crack in the clear is the center of the vent for the hood. The price is $200.00 firm. I am not really willing to ship unless the buyer pays all shipping fee and I will not be held responsible for any damages during shipping outside of my control. the hood is no longer on the car but I did post pictures of it on the car. All pictures are taken with my iphone 4 so sorry for shitty quality. THanks

if your shipping make sure you package the corners pretty good.
i got a hood shipped to me from cali. painted black matches my car 100% good. but the corners are dingged up because person i bought it from didnt package it up good enough on the corners

I need something that will allow the heat to escape from under the hood. This seems to be a relatively inexpensive way to do so.

 

yeah when I was atthe track the other night that turbo lude had a cf hood and I could see the heat coming out.

It does work great for that. At stop lights you can see the heat and when you start moving again, temps drop quick. Still working on getting prices.

 

Ups couldn't give me an exact number on shipping but it ranges from 350-550. They would need the hood in person to give exact numbers. I will try and get it there Tuesday. I leave for CED on Thursday so I won't be around for that week.

Probably why it says "local only" and "I'm not really willing to ship", because he knows that shipping something as bulky as a hood is unrealistic for the actual value.
