WTB: SS/SC Trans (LSD Preferred)
Well, from the looks of it... I might be needing to buy a new Transmission for my car... since it seems that no one can take one apart around here. SO...
I want to buy an F35 Transmission out of a Cobalt SS/SC... I'd prefer to have an LSD Trans... but it honestly makes no difference at this point. I just want to get it together and on the road right now.
Post up what you got. Please... don't PM me, unless I ask you too... I'm tired of having 10 new PM's every time I sign on. If you have a question, just ask it in the thread.
I've also got 2 broken trans (one with a blown Diff and one with a bad 2nd gear synchro) for anyone that fixes them and wants to do a core charge thing. My two bad trans can be combined to make a good trans.

And as far as the open diff... haha, I can't even find someone to take apart my original trans to swap out the synchro, so I think cracking it to swap the Diff is just as much out of the question.

Where did you say those tools are? If I can find someone to Frankenstein my two broken trannies to make One good trans... that would save me A LOT of money.
What's wrong with your's? If I can find someone to operate on my 2 existing transmissions, then I can send you any part that you might need.

Sorry to hear man. It's all about who ya know I hear those trans tools are pretty hard to come buy, let alone expensive I waited over 1 1/2 months for that bearing preload tool to come from Switzerland.
The tools are chilling at the Knapp Chevy Dealership in Blissfield MI.

It does kind of sound like a possible Synchro Problem. If you find something out, lemme know... I'll give you the parts for free... you'll just need to pay for shipping.

I guess I need to give Knapp Chevrolet a call.

Strange, I wouldn't think that Reverse would have a Synchro Problem... but I guess it is possible. I assume that you have tried de-activating the Reverse Lockout?

No... I mean like disabling the Reverse Lockout all together... so that you don't need to lift anything. But if you are hearing it winding against the synchro's... then that isn't your problem. Hmmm... I dunno on that one. I don't know THAT much about Trans's.
