Wtb: Stock Block! 2.0l Only!!! Please Help>

Hey I need a new block from a 2.0L. Mine blew yesterday and I cracked the block and sleeve on the 4th cylinder. Anyone have one? It needs to have perfect or near perfect sleeves and no block damage! Please let me know if someone has one! Thanks

too much pressure, too much heat, or both of those problems. I cracked the #4 Piston sleeve and cracked the #4 cylinder also. Nice big open crack down the whole thing. but bump as I need to get a stock block asap.

The block is the same... it's the stroke of the pistons that makes the displacement... I believe the bore size is the same... the LSJ is just destroked.

Try messaging Tom from CED... or asking around with some of the parts/tech guys that are on the forums... they can give you a better answer than what I can.

you can use the 2.2 block, just have to swap the reluctor ring off the crank

I have a 2.0 block, with out the pistons, and rods. only thing wrong with it is that there is part of a piston melted to the sleave on #4.

They sell a 2.16L ~800hp turbo motor for our cobalts. You can order it through GM I believe, just not through the dealerships.

The 2.2 race block will work with 2.0 internals.

Something like this is your best bet. If it's got a damaged cylinder, you can have a dealer put a new liner/sleeve in. (they have the special tools to do so) You dont want the GMPP race block OR a 2.2 for that matter- too many differences and issues requiring significant work-arounds
