its easy to clean a car and take a picture avoiding the refracted light angles.

Given the same lighting conditions, a picture taken from any given opposite angle would surely reveal things those pictures have hidden.

I'm not hatin, thats just the way it is

There have been PLENTY of people whom have seen my car in person! And that is the only testament I really need!

But if you want a sunny hood shot, I'll do it! Even though... black reflects more light than any other color meaning they look better in piktars!

Alright I can take one of the hood... but if you take care of it the way I do from day 1, you don't have swirl problems!

I have been detailing for 10-11 years now! But I'll go snap one of the hood!

hood, and roof, enjoy

that thing in the second pic is the camera wrist strap

and doing it right from day one is obviously correct, but you arent doing it right. you need to be using a machine

Hold on getting my pics uploaded!

Your first pic is a dead giveaway to pits in the paint, swirled wax (meaning not removed all the way)

you got ONE shot there with the flash right on it! ONE! and i can see the swirls!!! listen, go directly over the hood, put the camera at a 90 to it, snap the pic. feel free to do this on any other panel too. anyone can make their paint look good out of direct bright lighting

I got more shots... hold on!

Well I will do the rest of the car for you tomorrow, I cleaned the hood with some instant detail spray after my 90 mile drive today!

But feel free to post the pic of my swirl! Because I honestly can't see it!

i am totally down, only problem is this is my roommate's gf's camera that blows in comparison to mine. i dont have a charger for my new camera, but if i can use my parents this weekend i will try and get some shots. i just want flash shots, you dont need a good camera for that. like ive been saying, its not hard to make a car look good in dim lighting, he has some badass shots in that kinda ****.

are you crazy, if it werent for the flake his would be 10X more obvious, they are pretty apparent in the one adequate pic he provided. again, look at the difference in how the light flows over the whole area

i can see how it could be an asshat thing, i didnt mean it that way. i meant it more as a friendly challenge between two people who care ALOT about their paint, not a "ha your car sucks, mine is better" type of thing. the thing that kind of spawned it for me was his last picture thread in which i asked what he was using and how it was applied and his response told me none of the above and just how much it would cost if applied by a dealer
