Wow... I thought that your car was a SS/SC with a SS 2.4 wheel swap... then I noticed the lack of SC badges....

very interesting anyways... I may end up getting the ground effects... but I'm just not a fan of the wing.

i say that if you have a car and you wanna put parts of different models in that same line up on the car then that should be cool

How much did it cost you to put the bodykit, wing, and exhaust on? As someone above mentioned, it would look really good lowered

jz

well i told the dealer 1st off that i didnt want the ss/sc due to my plans of t/c a bigger engine but that i wanted the looks of the s/c model becuase thats the only way i liked the cars looks, so before i even signed any paperwork they put the kit and wing on and painted my emblems since they wouldnt debadge them for me, in the end they added $1100 for the kit and wing and install and paint. the corsa exhaust was $720 + $40 for install. also after the engine is t/c the suspension will be getting fully upgraded and may even swap the 2.0 lighter control arms on if its possible, along with the pro kit eibach sways (if they ever come out), shocks and strut bars, hopefully all these parts will be available shortly

I just don't like it because I can barely see out the back. if it was level instead of being tilted the slightest like it is. I would be fine with it because it would take up less viewing space.

I just think if it is an option that only comes with a specific model that basically identifies that car as a higher model it just aint right (IMO) to install it. sorry but you bring the criticism upon yourselves.
I have no problem with someone wanting to improve the visual appearance of their car, but please go for some aftermarket stuff.
They make wings that look almost identical to the SC's..use that...nothing anyone could say. except maybe "IT looks kinda like a ss/sc wing"
SRT guys ....how does it go over with the dodge boys when a reg neon has the SRT parts on it?...wonder how well the SRT "fake" model is selling? <----dont know the model name.
If I had a 6 cyl. 'stang and put GT stuff on it ....false advertising as well....not cool

As far as taking off the wing and debadging....well no one really catches sh*t for making their car look like a cheaper model....ever hear the term "SLEEPER"? thats how you sneak up on people.
And I dont see ss/sc guys putting LS badges on their cars ....do you?
Taking stuff off = not so bad to me people do it all the time
False badging/kitting = weak, make your car look unique and do something nice to it not make it look like the car you didnt get... Go aftermarket and go for it!
Much respect to proper modders. I would rather see a nicely done , turboed 2.2 or 2.4 with your own flair than a ss/sc "look alike"

Who cares if people think they beat an ss/sc or not doesnt matter, next time they get a real race with one they will be surprised . Just have a little more originality with the mods.

thanks, but its hard to go aftermarket when nothing aftermarket has the quality and look i wanted so this was my only choice and the dealer basically installed it for free so i wasnt gonna pass it up, either way we all have our own opinons and you will never see ss/sc badging on my car so dont worry about , people know there are 2 kinds of ss's now so it wont be a big deal

At least you have a decent head on your shoulders celica....
I didnt think of the angle you brought up of limited aftermarket as I really only check for speed parts not body
Also who woulda thought we would be saying GM and quality in the same sentence and mean it!

yeah i like low proile kits , not a big fan of the hugh mouth kits that usually come out, im happy with my look now for the most part and all money from here on out will be putting in to a savings account to have at my disposal once a decent turbo kit comes out and a tuning device

I actually looked into buying a wing "similar" to that of the s/c because it was cheaper but in the end would have eneded up costing me more money because the holes would not match...so in the end i went with the s/c wing because of practicality of having it installed

the wing fits the car well so why not?, also i do wish the wing flared out more towards the sides of the car a little further to be above the rear 1/4 panel

I actually don't think the spoiler matches to cobalt in any way at all. I will take some pictures to show you how akward it can look.
