Ahh, the 3800 Series 2.

Blew 3 intake mainfold gaskets on mine, but it ran till 220k before I sold it. Nice and torquey, but a little dated in a 2000 model. My car was a 95 bonneville.

I'm sorry but no where in the dictionary does it have 2000 Impala listed under good looking vehicle. It's more of a grocery getter than a Cobalt.

I consider my cobalt a girls car, so people on this site really should just hush and have fun.

A Buick Regal GS with HIGH miles. I've seen several have their LIM gaskets replaced at work. I work at a GM dealership. Mine was pouring.... along with the oil pan (months after fixing), steering gear (2 years old), and supercharger snout (low miles). After 3 transmissions (almost 4th), 1 supercharger (I had spare), and 3 engines, I was tired of putting money into it and sold it. The second to last transmission randomly took a dump on me coming home from the gf's, so I replaced it with a 20k miles GP GT trans, high stall, swapped diffs, and recalibrated everything from line pressure to gear ratio in the PCM. That one had problems right off the bat and I had an Allison Transmission specialist help me try to fix it (who raced his w-body aka RAFLYER's 11 sec. Impala). He was clueless and so was I! We swapped everything from valve bodies to 3rd gear sprags. lol
