Since there was an obvious race going on, I do believe he was trying, but the Z was NOT a TT. I heard no blow off either stock, or aftermarket. Turbo cars tend to make that sound. You raced an NA. Admit that you raced an NA. Everyone on 3ZC is basically saying the same thing. That you raced an NA thht was near stock.
Want a real race? Check out 300zxclub.com, ask around Im sure you can get a real race somewhere. Only when I see you beat a real TT, will your Saturn be worth anything.

Nice vid man...good kill! Your car is pretty quick! but lose the stickers...keep the stockish/sleeper look goin! haha I'm dying to get meth running on my car but have some other stuff to do first.
P7X -- you posted that With good drivers STI (stock) 1/4: 13.4 whp: 240-250 (although advertised by Subaru that the sti is 300hp IT IS NOT!!!) Why isn't 240-250AWHP = 300 crank? Some are even worse...it depends on dyno's...when i dyno'd my car(On a Clayton Dyno @ Neetronics)...the stock 06 STi b4 me pulled 235awhp while i pulled 229awhp on my wrx with mods that = 229awhp. I'm sure you know that converting awhp to crank hp is more than if it was converting fwd/rwd to crank. Otherwise...imo 240-250ish awhp = 300 crank...it just depends on the dyno...and whether its a load or non-load type dyno.
btw....someone said they hung or pulled a stock STi with just a 3'' pulley? gimme a break! I bet that guy driving the STi was half asleep and didn't even know u were beside them. I ran a similar ss/c from a 3rd gr roll and pulled on it hard.

Well i did not think it was a TT either at first so i went out and found one at the local spots (a pretty heavily modded one too)

2nd run he wants another 40 so he can brake boost....and now i see why he wanted to brake boost. His car shot out like a 700WHP fuking supra but i stayed about 1/2 a car back because my low end held up close to him, but as the speed climbs, he would pull slowly, but like i said nothing insane, just slowly pulling.
So...brake boosting those cars, 300ZX>Cobalt.......not brake boosting Cobalt>300ZX

Well i was bored and decided that this might be worth something to tell you guys, first of all the colbalts are pretty nice newer cars that are decently fast out of the box, but just because the 300zx is an old car doesn't mean that they are all slow whether they are modded or stock Also sorry to say but that 300zx seems alot like a N/A with an automatic tranny, no engine noise, no signs of hard shifting. I wish i can scan my timeslips but i don't have a scanner Well here are my mods: K&N cone intake, Trust Full-catback exhaust, and a Greddy Profec B spec2 Boost controller. Boosting at 10 lbs i ran-

Either my friend with the TT 300Z just plain sucks at driving, or his car is a slow ass freak compared to these other Z guys. His car has never broke into the 13's at the track. Like I said, he has HKS intercoolers, profec B set at 14psi high boost (usually pushes 17 on a cold night), full 3" turbo back exhaust, no cats. Stillen intercooler piping/coupler things, and also an aftermarket disc clutch.
The car has ran a best of 14.2-14.0...
Its a 5 spd, 1990, just turned over 100k.... 18" front wheels, 19" rears, full coilover suspension.

Ok I saw this and I had to subscribe cause this matt guy is a dipshit. First off I live in the USA and own a 1990 300zx TT and I have raced an ion and beat it by a car length. He had a lot done to it also.
Second you can tell the 300zx didn’t even accelerate time the poles they’re the same as they were when you were beeping the horn up till the end of the video. The 300zx you would feel go up in the air a little and hear the engine and exhaust. 300zx TT are not the fastest cars out there but I know for a fact a ion wouldn’t kill it that bad maybe a car length if you were lucky. That video is BS!!!

I've seen his car in person, I even have the 3.0 pulley that was formally on his car before he did the rest of his modifications. I know first hand what it's capable of, and to no offence, 300ZX may have 300 Crank HP stock, but they are also heavy. Motor Trend tested the car when it first came out at 0-60 in 6 seconds, and a low 14 1/4 mile time.
Sounds relatively close to a stock Cobalt/ RL to me.

Well, the point is, Mattyfinch needs to get to the track already. If he could post a timeslip that reflects his dyno numbers, that would shut alot of people up. Timeslips are everything on the internet. Without them, it's all "talk". I'm not saying anything against matty at all. There's alot of people in here calling BS, and the only way to prove them wrong is with some timeslips. So mattfinch, get to the track already!
