mine has come on in 5th gear before.....never seen it come on in 1st....or 2nd...comes on and likes to stay on in 3rd and 4th at normal speeds for those gears....and there is no way in hell i'm going to 5th gear at 35-40mph.... =\

look at my thread starter.....tis there and set at 6500. It won't come on at that time. I changed from 1K to 7500. doesn't make a difference

Yea but how many times does it regularly come on? I'm talking about it coming on all the time when it's supposed to be.

same for me...although I know all cars have the option. Just a matter of learning how to turn it on and control it.

I bought a shift light anyways so who cares, I need more of a warning than 6450.

mine has come on like three times in 51,000 miles of driving my car, i was always hoping that when i get my car tuned i could have them set the lamp to come on.

it's a hit and miss light. It comes on when it wans to. Only at WOT at the highter RPM's

Ive gotten mine up to 6500 rpms and Ive never seen a light come on. Do you need to program it so it comes on???

The 07 LE5's do not have the shift light, the 06's do. And on the 06's you can adjust it through HPT.

Its just a light telling you that you are being dumb and you need to shift or youre fucked, its not a shift light

The way I see it is when I have the GMStage 3 ECU and I set the 100 octane mode . The shift light tells me that it is in 100octane mode and that the ECU detects the 100 octane. If it does not detect the 100 octane then the shift light will go off. I have never seen it come on for my car either when just on the GM stage 2 tune. Or if I'm running the GM stage 3 ECU with out the 100 octane mode . But I never set the rev limiter higher than 7250.

Mine came on once when I downshifted from 3rd to 2nd at about 65 and slammed the limiter instantly. Didn't feel good at all.
