El Oh El

Also, as said above, just get Pedder's Springs. The TC Shocks/Struts are the best in the Biz. No need to swap them out.

I've been thinking about a PLX as well...

I went with KSport Coilovers for mine. I'm almost finished paying them off so I should have them soon. I've heard and seen nothing but great things from them. Probably the best out there for coilovers. AND they don't rub

Here's my 2 cents... in order

step 1 "smooth ride"

Give the car a raked stance; the even low show stance won't take you around a corner well in this car. Unless you like bouncing around...:/

Your stock struts n shocks as they sit will give you most comfortable ride over any coilover on the market, regardless of their dampening adjust-ability.

The comfort lies in what choice of spring you go with. To my understanding, for example: Pedders will provide you with the following "Performance, Comfort, Drop." It's all about how aggressive you wanna get.

This is where dampening IMO plays a huge role. I think of dampening on my car as a fine tuning tool. Depending on your driving style, dampening regardless of the front and rear spring rate combos you choose on the market will make or break your driving. If the car understeers, oversteers and even sways, it all can be controlled via your dampening to a large extent.

Step 2 (Lowering)

Leave this to the bags.. but if you want a daily driven lowered stance.
There are a handful of choices available to you in the coilover market. Lower the car, keep the front control arms level, and don't forget to give the car a rake!!!! I can't stress that enough; we don't own golf's here...

Step 3 (Adjustability)

Since performance & stance seems to be what your looking for. Here's a few available, and I provided you with the specs on the set I own.

BC COILOVERS (current set I own: 8k frnt, 6k rear, 32 way dampening, 1-3" drop, camber adjustment)
K-SPORT COILOVERS
ARK COILOVERS
PEDDERS COILOVERS
Variant 2 coilovers

I believe all those have dampening on 4 corners, have rear spring seats for height adjustability, and each provide different spring rates. It's up to you to decide on the spring rate you want, because your gonna be driving the thing daily.

--------------

So you think you got all that now right? and your car is dialed in and balanced on your current tires? Now you gotta choose whether you want a stickier 205-245 tire, which is gonna throw everything you just dialed in into the water. Happy suspension tuning Cole

A rear sway bar is a big help, and makes you less reliant on dampening.

Phheeeew... any questions? lol
