New guy from Georgia - '09 Cobalt SS Sedan (lots of pictures)

Whats goin on guys... been lurking around the site for a little while... had my '09 SS Sedan for almost two months now... love this little car.. gets great mileage.. still fairly quick.. and handles great.. can't ask for much more. As far as info about me... I manage a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes store in Newnan, Georgia.. so if you need any paint or paint info.. hit me up.

Anyways.. here's my new baby.. (100% stock for now.. awaiting stage 1.. if it ever shows up) and a few pictures of my old cars:

here are some of my old cars:

'99 Camaro Z28 LS1 (just sold it with 55,000 miles on it.. i miss her)

My '99 Civic Si (bought her brand new in '99.. I loved that car):

My '90 Civic EX Sedan (ran a 15.1 with nothing but an intake.. ****** would move for what it was.. haha):

My '91 Audi 200 Quattro Turbo... my favorite car of all time.. too bad i blew it up and couldn't afford to fix it at the time.. 2.1L 5cyl AWD Turbo 5 speed.. awesome car.. surprised a LOT of people in this boat.. even with 237,000 miles:

...anyway... thanks for lookin..

eh.. its stock.. it will look much better once I lower it... I just wish there was an inexpensive lowering spring that both improved performance, and lowered it a little more than the pedders springs.. cuz i'm not willing to sacrifice handling for looks..

Thats like... pretty close to my car... i got an SS sedan too... 2009, silver... but mine has the sunroof... and the USB for the ipod in the radio(which i use the crap out of). i got every option but spare tire and the computer screen boost gauge thing... (also, dont feel bad that the bumpers dont match the body color exactly, mine are the same way )o: )

Liking those pics though... i traded my 2000 audi A4 1.8t quattro in on my SS, because it was just soooo damn expensive....

Welcome and congrats on the ride! What part of Atlanta are you in? I'm over by the Mall of GA with a 07 LT cobalt, and a 2000 SS camaro.

I had three cars.. needed to get down to one.. and this car fit my requirements... plus with the mileage on my camaro.. it was getting to the point where the value was gonna start to fall quickly.. so it was either sell now while its still worth something.. or keep it for the long haul.. i made the right choice.. they gave me an incredible deal on trade.

98% of all new car bumpers don't match the car.. just the way they are painted... believe me its the first thing i noticed when i got the car... but then again i do look at car paint all day every day.. even tried to get them to repaint it before i took delivery... wasn't happening.. haha

Then go coil-overs

Nice Sedan btw.

But Pedders>looks honestly. My Sedan's ability to handle some twisties and ride comfort at the same time would make most of the cars on the street scream with envy

Plus pedders gives the car a nice "stance" vs the look of slamed or a saggy rear

i'm not baller enough to afford a good set of coilovers (the only way i would spend the money).. i was tryin to find an inexpensive way out.. but it looks like pedders is my only other option as of right now.. I'm all about handling.. but I want looks too.. the pedders setup just doesn't lower it enough for me..
