I do not care how big this "gap" is... in comparison to the base models with the smaller rims it looks perfectly fine.. and with the hardcore bar, body roll is at pretty much a minimum already. I see no reason to worry about this "gap" non-sense everyone talks about. To drop $1500 on coils to make the car ride/handle like a sack of **** but have no wheel gap makes no sense to me, but whatev's

1. If you pay over $1200 for coilovers you're being ripped off. Even brand new coilovers cost lest than that.
2. The ride quality for coilovers is completely fine and can be extremely comfortable if you set them up correctly.
3. My coilovers handle completely fine, people AutoX all the time with them.
4. Coilovers are completely adjustable, you don't have to slam the car.

but if I am fine with stock ride height what is the point.. there is none
its extremely safe to say that the lower you go the crappier you ride generally is, and being lower doesnt mean better handling (especially once you get past a certain point in terms of drop)... I'd prefer to keep the ride SMOOTH yet FIRM and since I dont care about gap to begin with there would be no reason to even think about spending even lets say $800 to get coils... I understand you dont have to slam the car with coils installed, but what else are they good for? Pedders matched with the proper strut/shock combination can give you equal if not better performing results for <40% of the cost..
even with this said, the stock spring/strut setup is pretty damn good and I'm debating whether or not I even want to get into working with Pedders for what it may cost atm. Strictly looking at performance only, stock fe5's with a hardcore bar is a great setup with no reason to replace it for the upcoming autox races. Most of this site seems to underrate how well this car handles on stock springs, then the typical "OMGGGG 4x4" CSS mindset crap takes over... stupidness.. but to each their own
