PICS of new stub shifter
so... pclear9061 made me this shifter and it is amazing!!! took forever to install cause i had some trouble getting a piece of my old shifter off, but it was worth the trouble cause it looks great and feels great too. here are some pics of the final product...
in first gear
back seat view
side view in neutral
i decided not to put the reverse lockout onto this new one so thats why you dont see it. the shifts feel crisp and clean and very short. i havent had any issues at all with missing gears or anything like that. the shifter looks very professionally done as well.
GREAT INVESTMENT!!!

it was $90 shipped. it didnt come with all the stuff that the B&M does, it was just the shifter, and i was able to use parts from the stock shifter to install it. not sure what kind of metal it is made out of but it is solid as hell, heavy for its size.

yeah i did. the plastic was REALLY strong so i figured it wouldnt affect the strength if i cut it. once i installed everything i confirmed my assumption. its just as strong as before. just PM pclear9061 and tell him youre interested.

yeah there are mixed feelings about the knob. its hard to tell but the knob is actually kinda flat on top so it doesnt have as much of a tear drop look as it does in the pic. i might do something custom to it so that it isnt as plain.

Shifter looks great. Is the knob you have weighted? If it is, that'll definitely help improve the shifts. It's looks just a little shorter than my self-shortened B&M w/ Sparco knob. I retained the reverse lockout after shortening it though, so I couldn't make it that short.

im just afraid if i ever cut mine my long banana hands would get pinched between the knob and plastic housing thing somehow....my hands end up in the TIGHTEST of spots some times
