1989 ford probe GT turbo 2.2l
here is my first love, and first car. had 95,000 miles when the tranny went bye bye.
History: Bought in 1989 by an ex-marine and garage kept ever since, He drove it from pa to florida twice and car was purchased as his weekend driver. He managed to keep the miles to a low 67,000 untill july of 2003 when i came across its classified in the morning paper which red, 89 TURBO PROBE VERY CLEAN. First glance of the car when the cover was pulled off i was ready to buy, he was asking 3,000 but talked him down to 2,500. WHAT A STEAL!
Engine: Greddy Profec B SpecII hi-15psi/ lo-8psi, TurboXS type s BOV , K&N drop in filter, Custom cold air ram, 2 1/4 cat back, inject tech zombie ss chip
Ignition: Accell 8mm wires, NGK V-Power spark plugs
Fluids-Mobil 1 sythetics, k&n filters, nothing under 93 octane
Appearance- 3,000GT wheels , Porsche Turbo emblem on rear below spoiler(not in pick)
Misc- Autometer Boost gauge (custom fit to where the Cig lighter used to be) silicon replacement hoses, Hyper White running light replacement bulbs
Time Slips- 14.6 2.0 60 foot 95mph (done without Greddy profec unit and Accell wires , was using a turboxs mbc at the time)
Best time without chip and using homemade mbc was 14.9
