Picked this up for cheap, total spent on it is 442 bucks. I still need to pick up a different exhaust housing from ZZP so that it will bolt up to their log manifold and downpipe.
HX40
Compressor is 60mm Inducer and 82mm Exducer, T3 Hotside is .70a/r
It should help me meet my goals rather easily. Figured I'd share with everyone.
UPDATE! DEC 17TH 2010
Here are the pics....
First is pics of the T4 Divided Housing
Now the T3 undivided housing (.70 A/R)
Some comparison side by side shots
And finally, "assembled". Not final assembly of course.
Amazing cause it is quite a bit smalller than the T4 housing. But the Vband outlet is the same size and the wheel spins freely. I can't wait to bolt it up to the manifold! This is getting exciting! I'm glad I'm able to do this with all brand new parts. Makes me feel much more confident!
On a side note, I think this sucker is going to spool fast. I may convert to straight turbo a few months after getting this thing up and running.
Update!!!! 20 December 2010
So I went and picked up my zzp manifold from the post office today. This is the same manifold that Ryan made 510whp/421wtq twincharged with before going straight turbo and still on the stock head. It's got a 44mm Vband Wastegate flange and a EGT bung already. He made me a good deal on it so I couldn't pass it up. I think this is one of the last tube-welded manifolds that zzp is going to sell also because he told me they are going to cast log manifolds soon. I didn't have anything to hold the massive HOLSET up on the manifold, so I used a pair of plyers to help hold it up on the manifold. LOL
First up, the ZZP manifold
Now the Mighty Holset Mounted test mounted (with plyers help holding the beast up, lol)
Finally, check out the less than finger width gap between the compressor cover and manifold.
Once again, this is just test fitting for pictures, nothing more.

I just wanna see a 600whp sheet from the dyno. Even if it's a dynojet, that's fine with me. lol. I'll be doing it twincharged and with a built head. I'll be using ZZP stage 2 turbo cams and my head is race ported now with oversized ferrea valves. I also have sleeves now so I don't pop another engine. Stock stroke/bore/compression on wiseco pistons.

Funny enough his compressor outlet was mushed to half the OD size like someone had dropped it. he ended up cutting 1-1/4" from it lol. 600whp now that sounds awesome, those zzp guys are gonna be nervous!

As for track times, I know better than to spout off a time. Realistically, the car should run 10s no problem with 600whp on tap. But I have to focus a lot of time and money into traction before that happens.

aha, you guys know me too well. I just want to hit 600whp and have it on a sheet. That's all.

yea I've been out there a few times and checked it out. There's a few cars around here I'd love to embarass, specifically a vette. But unfortunately, I don't have the car hear, yet.

Nice to see some more cobalts in germany. I was going to have mine sent here this month but since I'm going to afghanistan in a few months I decided to hold out. Good luck on 600whp. Maybe someday we can get a CSS.net meet in germany going.
