Redline goods armrest installed.
uploading pics now, hold on a bit
1. Remove arm rest lid by the 2 Philips screws on the hinge
2. Remove the 7 philips screws holding the lid to the plastic under cover.
3. Using spray adhesive, I used 3M super 77 adhesive, cover the top of the lid completely with 2 coats. BE AWARE!!! this stuff is sticky as hell and gets on everything so use a garbage bag or something to cover your work area.
4. Place the padding on top the the deck lid lining it up as you press down. I worked from front to back.
5. Place the cover over the padding lining up the stiching on the sides so its even. NOTE*** let the glue from step 3 dry for appox 30 mins so it doesnt stick to the material and get everywhere.
6. Once you have the cover aligned where you want it, use the 3M super 77 adhesive again and spary the underside of the material and some of the underside lid. Then pull the material over the lip of the lid and press it on the adhesive. It make take a few times till the adhesive becomes tacky enough to hold by itself.
7. Work out all the wrinkles (I had none) and folds in the corners and press down on the material assuring a firm bond between material and lid.
8. Put back the underside lid using the 7 screws from step 3.
9. OPTIONAL STEP** I let the armrest sit for appox 2hrs to assure the adhesive dried complete and wouldnt move
10. Secure lid to armrest using 2 screws (longer) from step one. Stand back and enjoy the look and feel of your new arm rest!!

gm cant even give us an arm rest.. its not like we didnt buy the SS package or something...
i bet they were like hey lets not give them an armrest to save money and call it weight reduction, then sell it to them after they buy the car..

its a Performance Vehicle. if you were at Road Atalanta Constantly shifting you wouldnt want it there. Thats what the car is built for.

I love mine. How is the height difference and feel. I love the presence but the comfort isn't the best.
I was part of the group buy, but was waiting for this to order

price still TBD by Redline goods
i dont even feel the height difference. its 6/8" padding so its very minimal. if i lean on it with all my weight i just crush it enough to touch the lid so its perfect IMHO
Yea, it IS the GM one, I just had Redlinegoods.com make a cover and padding to cover it.
