Screw speedbumps....cobalt ss rally build.
Heard some talk before about a rally style Cobalt SS. My car is a 06 SS/SC. Mods are basic 2.8-60s-ZZP Midlength-ARK Catback-Bwoody mounts-ZZP 1.0 PCM-ZZP S2 HE, Hurst STS, etc.....sosay about 250 whp or so. Car ran a 13.8 @105 mph now is 200 lbs lighter (see below) has a cai, different tune, larger exhaust, and now I have more experience (that run was my second run ever on the car).
Car is 2720 without me in it (weighed at weigh station). No speakers/amp/xm unit/ sound insulation/gutted trunk...etc.
I have had the lowered look and stock look. Went another direction to mix it up and havent seen anyone actually do anything along these lines?
So heres the plan. Continue to mod along these lines with hopes of racing in local Rallycross or something.
Nice to have ground clearance.
Mods so far are some all weather Michelins on some 16" Borbet CB wheels. Stock FE5 suspension and struts.....plenty of ground clearance.
Waiting for tires. Gonna try and see how the spacers work tommorow. Also gonna trim mud flaps a lil.
Put the LS front bumper on....barely fits over the heat exchanger and you can see the lines. Looks good imo......
Motor shots...
and....
Finally got the tires installed and lifted the front about a half inch. 215/60R16 Yokohama Geo Lander AT/S...rims to be painted black with truck bed liner like the jeep guys......
Need some lights up front, but not sure how to go about it.

I dont know if putting mudflaps on constitutes being a rally car.
You need a roof light rack, fron tlight rack, high tech suspension, and some crazy lookin graphics on the car...
also... seeing an SS S/C looking like that almost made me vommit

I have better pictures of my car for meme's too, I feel insulted by all the granulation from using my sig image. Sadly I don't have those beautiful wheels anymore though. I might raise my coilovers and drive down a dirt road myself .

My wagon has trapped 108 @ those times, and my SS/SC was 107, lol I wasn't flaunting my 60' times by any means .
