CHEAP......ls/lt springs by definition are that....cheap. They are quickly swapped out and sold for very little money.....ergo. Cheap.

riceburner...yes.

interviewatruins..... thanks. i guess?

2010cobalt........very helpful.

if anybody reads these posts and doesnt just skim pictures and slam away.....they would see its a work in progress...and yes I live close enough to go to events.

lately its been a blast just driving it......going on the beaches here is fun. i live close enough for that too.

I appreciate all the comments, even if most of them are not the nicest things to say. alot of those who slam me....well at one point i was like you....i did all the "everyone" else mods to fit and be accepted......dont confuse that with good taste. theirs quite a few mods on your cars which people once they first started doing them got slammed for.....now its safe and accepted.

hate on haterz

btw....stance and tire stretching and roof racks where a wtf moment once.

i hear ya, and sorry for hating.. to me, its just not a rally car. its a street car. cheap mushy ls springs will probably have you bottoming out at much as ur current springs dude. maybe a set of adjustable coilovers set to the max height and spacers added?

and dude, its gotta be one hell of a rickety-rackety ride, i know how mine is just on the street!

yeah, i see your point. but until i can afford or find an option i figure those springs with fe5 shocks will be fine from my research.

its ok to hate!

let me clarify so as not to offend anyone. when im saying people are doing the "everybody" else mods....this **** goes in waves. Ive owned many cars and have been on many forums and have seen it. im sure you have seen the trends too.

im not disliking or hating on those who comment. most of them have some clean ass cars and I have nothing but respect. some on the other hand just go with the flow and post out of their ass so as to fit in. its all good. im 34 years old, and dont let keyboard warriors stress me out.

thanks for your input

btw...i did this to myself by even using the word RALLY.....lol

I just wish that if you were going to do this you'd do it to a base model and not **** up an SS.

still hauls ass, handles great (bearing in mind tires and lift), brakes great, looks like a hacked ls but snuffs out local ss's....................sooooooo im happy.

disclaimer: as its been pointed out by my peers on this forum, i am devoid of taste and direction. i know i am not the fastest around by any measure, but fast enough for my little hole in the wall. i can haul "relative" ass, handle, and brake decently all while being different.........i can drive through **** stanced/lowered/stock cars would have problems with, drive over speeds bumps without a care, and routinely drive over curbs with no scrapeage.......i could care less.

i'm considering putting some lights on my roof rack bar to drive in the mountains at night. i figured another 200-300w of HID would be enough for 178 and 215 at night lol

Took the communities suggestions with the flaps.......removed all of them.

1. looking at getting a prefilter for the filter on my zzp cai.....cant run fender liners and the filter seems to be getting pretty dirty.....

2. looking at a lil more lift.....i have 3.5 inches in the front and 4 in the rear....would like 4.5 and 5.0..

3. looking at some front lights wired into the stock fog light setup......so some low wattage "driving" lights will do.....also need to aim the housings.

4. HAVE TO PAINT rims and reinstall center caps.........truck bed liner for the win.

Suggestions?

I have a question, could the police hand you a repair order for any of these mods? I know there have been repair orders for suspension too low, extra lights, exhausts, colored lights, tint. Im not sure of other ones but I thought I might bring that subject up if this car is your daily.

So much hate in this thread lol. Have you noticed most people hating are all stock and very little work done? I like the idea dude. Sure beats the hell out of driving cautiously around speed bumps lol. Plus it just seems like you can have a lot of fun with this type of build.

Here are suggestions sense you were asking for ideas. I would go with a baha style. Some kind of bad ass grill guard up front. Cut the fenders. Then drop most of your money in the drivetrain and suspension. And of course you got to have some lights.

Quick Reply: Screw speedbumps....cobalt ss rally build.
