folks may not like it but Ralli if you dont understand how it works I feel sorry for you. I figured you were smarter than that. For time attack we stuck it on there because it was frugly and didnt do anything? Meh.

in the real world theres a difference in a carbon fiber front lip that pulls a little downforce and a splitter/ undertray that creates alot of downforce and aids in aerodynamics/ cooling of the engine and brakes...
anything else to add?
what i would like to see is the underbody of the car not just the outside of the lip... if it DOES run under the car it would be nice to have a pic, not a drawing.

No youre not typing in Chinese. I was just posting what I thought was obvious, the fact that he doesnt have a splitter, I thought you would make the same assumption I did that he doesnthave any additional aero mods. I dont know of anyone that currently runs any underbody aero.

Now the actual front of the time attack cobalt, looks like it's actually a working setup. But the OP's car looks like it's for "looks" only. And I think alot of us will agree that it doesn't look very good at all, looks kind of rediculous with it being so big on an otherwise stock car.

john, I think my point has been proven. Though it may be the same lip that was on the time attack cobalt, it's not being used in the same manner. It doesn't seem to me that there is anything else attached to it, and so I seriously doubt that those 2 little holes near the center of the lip are doing anything.

Technically you are wrong.
The stock Cobalt has some lift at the front at speed, this attachment kills lift. Technically, up to 3 inches of splitter lead off the front bumper meaured horizontally from a vertical fall off the bumper will generate about 100- 125 lbs downforce.
The slots in the front are for brake ducts which the OP has not installed. If the OP blanks the brake duct openings off, there will be more downforce generated.
If the OP fits the undertray that is installed on the Time Attack car and removes his under car air dam, (which would have to be done) the car will overheat unless there is a radiator shroud installed.
The Time Attack used the OEM urethane front bumper for attachment in 100% the same way as the OP. Only thing, the oem styrofoam on the time attack car was missing as an alloy Redline front crash bar was grafted on to save weight.
The OP has a stock crash bar on it and styrofoam so its quite adequate to support the 100 lbs of downforce generated.
So Ralli. Chill. You dont like it? Fine. But dont call the OP's parts out technically, you just dont know enough to say...
