ZZP's Adventure @ GRIDLIFE
I just want to start off and say, that if you missed this event and you were in distance to get there, you REALLY missed out on a wonderful time.
So this event was at Gingerman Raceway, a show, track, drift event that got everyone able to get their cars out on the track and get the experience of it all, while keeping it a relevant show and even having an after even EDM concert and on ground camping. This event was an ABSOLUTE blast.
So! I will start off with my story. So my team here in chicago (Project X) got a pre meet together at 3am central time, since we had to be there by 7am, and Michigan is an hour ahead! So we got our crew together and met at a gas station:
(PS most of these cars are forced induction!)
The other half of the people had gone in the night before! So we went on our way and met the other half of Project X at the hotel:
And then it was off to the track! Where me, Ryan@zzp and Tom Knight@ ZZP met up and gave each other some mad homo love. They were setup already to go! Tint, cameras, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a little bit of vodka, and some shirts ready to sell!
BTW if you haven't picked up your new ZZP - LNF 'snobalt/rd' shirt yet, support the guys and pick one up!

Anywho Saturday was show day and I was parked with my show team, but it didn't stop me from chilling out in the booth with the main peeps! Thanks to all you guys who came up and spoke to us! Its great putting names to faces and screen names haha!
me and Tim being creeped on by Ryan/Tom. Paparazzi!
As the long hot day progressed and we talked, and drank, and networked, and had all sorts of fun! It was time to announce the winners of the show! And guess what?! ZZP's Snobalt took second in the domestic class! Boyaah!
OLD dyno sheet! we should be getting a new one here soon!
Here is (from left to right)
Me, Zoomer (owner of ZZP), Ryan@zzp, and Tommy Knight (marketing @ zzp)
After this there was a HUGE EDM concert afterwards. I was supposed to come back but I whimped out and fell asleep while Tom and Ryan partied on for me!
But the next day, the ZZP Boys got to really have some fun! Because ZZP was a sponsor of GRIDLIFE, we got to have some track sessions! That's right, the snobalt, the HHR SS, and the Sonic got to get out there and have some fun! Here are some pics of me Teching since they did it yesterday!
And before we knew it, RDG and RDB (Myself and Ryan @ zzp) were out on the track tearing it up! They will post more pics SOON. But for ANYONE who wants to do this, some background. Most know my setup. I turned the boost WAY down for this While the HHR SS has a ZFR setup. Ryan @ zzp was KILLING me out there! hahaha! it was awesome! The HHR was planted and people were VERy surprised at the Homo Hot Rod did so much work! And Ryan is a great driver and very confident in the car! I had to point him by me at like mid track! Granted I caught up in the straights again lol. But the ZFR is by far the best balanced setup for these cars. GET YOU ONE RIGHT MEOW!
The second time out there I got way more aggressive and did much better as I got used to tracking it and really pushing her hard! It was incredibly fun! Then Tommy Knight got out there in the Sonic as was flooring it through the twisties! Lost a bit of ground in the straights but made it right back up! The sonic was doing work too! (he will post pics of that as well) All in all the zzp team did very well, got a new appreciation and got to really see some different flavors! Ryan@ zzp is hooked now! haha. They'll post more pics a bit later!
So then as GRIDLIFE ended we said our homo-good-byes, and went our separate ways! It is such a joy an honor to be apart of this team. These people treat me like family and we always have a good time together! Getting to know everyone on a personal level has been my complete honor!
Just an FYI, June 21st we will be back together HERE IN CHICAGO FOR THE CHICAGO 1/2 MILE EVENT! Get ready for that!!!

We did have a KILLER time!
ZZP really stepped up our game for #GridLife.
ZZP is going to put a large focus on AutoX and Track Racing as we move forward, and progress into higher technology platforms, finer detailed development, and precision tuned suspension systems.
